Marvel Entertainment goes pink this October, launching a month-long campaign in support of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month with all new covers on select October titles and educational material on Marvel.com. Throughout the month of October, the world’s most popular super heroes—Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Wolverine and more—will be featured on all-new variant covers with special pink-colored costumes available exclusively at comic shops*. Additionally, all Marvel super hero comics in October will feature a special one-page advertorial educating readers about breast cancer, complimented by additional content on Marvel.com and through social media.

It's hard for me to connect these covers of violence/battle with breast cancer awareness but kudos to Marvel nonetheless.

Comixology is having a sale today of Image's #1 from 2012. Most I wanted I already have, but I decided to get Secret(which I completely missed somehow), Peter Panzerfaust(which I read a copy of), and Dancer.

you mean subscribing from Marvel/DC? I get Uncanny X-Force through Marvel, but it's erratic(5 days to 3 weeks after it hits stores). A lot cheaper though.

AvX Stuff from this week

Wolverine and the X-Men and Legacy were the only two tie-ins this week. Both, however, start to show how the Phoenix Five are evil. Meaning they are just going to be another super villain for the Avengers to ultimately beat. Legacy had a fight between Rogue and Ms. Marvel, which had to be coming considering the series. Whole point was to show Magik being evil though. Wolverine and the X-Men was a really good issue imo. I loved everything with Rachel Grey and her inner turmoil about what she was doing, including how much of it was just her past conditioning kicking in. Also, Kid Gladiator is freaking hilarious, but leave it to Wolverine to put him in his place. Who knew Strontians had weak points?

Bub and the Sniktbubs actually made the AvX story good for once. You could really feel the conflict unlike the previous slug-fest filler. FF was great(again). Hickman gives the kids so much heart and humor. Ultimates was like, woah. Anthony best new character of the year?

Could someone tell me what the appeal of Dan Slott is? I just don't get it. Humberto Ramos is already one of the worst artists out there(referencing ASM btw).

Eh? I don't know how to explain it well. To me, his stories feel like old school Spider-Man stories a bit, but still in the current age. Also, Ramos didn't do the art on the most recent ASM. I forget who did off-hand though.

iive only really liked slott on asm, i think he writes spidey/peter parker well
