Actually. I might need to change that statement about relative pettiness. I just remembered Marvel decided to rip off Battle Royale and essentially murder off their entire teen line in gruesome ways. Seriously. People clamor to ask if they can see at least a little more (even just cameos) of their favorite teen heroes instead of the same old cap, wolverine etc and they respond with THAT?
In other news Rick Remender wanted to have Brother Voodoo and Storm in uncanny Avengers but Marvel told him they were in too many books to justify him getting to use them. (please note that Brother Voodoo is in zero books right now and Storm is basically going to be on a Murder squad which is the exact opposite of what she'd ever do)

I think you're assuming a little too much since these titles haven't even been released yet. It's been acknowledged by Marvel that Avengers Academy is essentially Battle Royale but I think it's going to be a fantastic book with a premise that's not been used in major comics. And who knows if Storm's X-Force will be a 'murder squad'.

From what I know so far they are just part of All New X-Men currently.

Anyone else pick up A+X this week? Slott's story about Cap and Cable was pretty cool, but Loeb apparently didn't grasp the concept of the book. He didn't even attempt to tell a short, fun story. You get no conclusion and To Be Continued Maybe nonsense. Am I wrong about what the point of the book was or is he just continuing to be shitty

I did read Wolverine and the X-Men, Captain Marvel, and New Mutants on comixology.

W&TX was really good, back to the pre-AvX quality imo. Captain Marvel was, by far, the best issue of the series; though you need to have read the rest to grasp what was going on. New Mutants was good final issue. I was a bit disappointed by the lack of direction for most of the characters. Literally it was "Look for Cannonball and Sunspot in Avengers." Karma will still be in Astonishing, but what about Dani, Magma, Doug, and Warlock?

He made a Wolverine/Hulk team up boring. Just...how? Even if you're not into the characters at all, all the author really needs to do is throw in some solid action scenes.

Plus he continues to not give a shit about continuity. Old Man Logan and the Maestro(Hulk with beard) are from 2 different timelines. Oh but he threw in Red Hulk which has nothing to do with Loeb sucking off his own ego.

Yes. I think red Hulk should actually look like that now, it blows my mind that his mustache disappears when he transforms.

Katana and Vibe will be getting solo series. Katana will be written by Ann Nocenti and art by Alex Sanchez.
Vibe will be written by Andrew Kreisberg and drawn by Pete Woods

Also, since Arrow is doing well on CW, DC has decided to put a new team on Green Arrow. Jeff Lemire will be writing and art is by Andrea Sorrentino(I, VAMPIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).

Wow, Lemire Green Arrow is awful tempting. I mean, I've dropped quite a few series (or they've ended), but with all the Marvel NOW! stuff coming out I hope I have the money to check it out.

I actually picked up the first Frankenstein: Agent of Shade trade for cheap at NYCC and it was excellent. As if I needed more motivation to follow Lemire to any book he chooses.

Deadpool #1 was entertaining, Iron Man #1 was butts. AvX Consequences finale was great and the series overall was really good. I'm really liking this new take on Cyclops.
