Thanks for the batman recap, back to not reqding batman for a few more months.
Mostly just a Marvel guy nowadays, especially of late with New 52 really dying out on me...
Superior Spider-Man (had been willing to give it a chance cause I trusted Slott, really glad I did)
Fables (has died out a little for me recently but still love this series)
Avengers (H I C K M A N)
New Avengers (H I C K M A N)
X-Factor (outside of Remender's UXM, best X-Book since they launched it in 2006)
In the mini-series department, Daredevil End of Days has been freaking great.
1. Saga
2. Batman
3. Captain Marvel
4. Wonder Woman
5. All New X-Men
Honorable Mention for Batgirl.
I only have 5 on my pull list: Uncanny Avengers, Uncanny X-Men, Captain America, Young Avengers, and Superior Spiderman. But I read alot more.
My current favorite five:
1. All New X-Men
2. Superior Spiderman (for all the hate, the Ock/Spidy dynamic is a lot of fun)
3. Wolverine and the X-Men
4. Ultimate Comics X-Men
5. and idk I'm not sure on 5... but I am excited for the upcoming Apocalypse plot for Uncanny Avengers.
Yeah thunderbolts is garbage.
My list is really shifting around lately. I would say the last few months it has been:
Saga - I want this every week...
Walking Dead - I would pay for a spinoff Lucille focused book.
Avengers
Hawkeye - Love it or hate it, I really like what they have done here. I know people think it is overhyped, but I truly enjoy every page.
Great Pacific - This is a tricky new one, I really like it so far, but it could just go wrong at any moment I feel. The Massive was sitting here, but I feel it has slowed down. Next week it could be right back in this list.
I feel like I should be reading Saga based on everyone's lists.
im not reading a ton these days
uncanny avengers
avengers
new avengers
hawkguy
wolvie and kids
saga
twd
superior spidey
saga and hawkguy are consistently my favorite.
Oh, it's written by Brian K Vaughan.
SOLD
Shit, now I wanna go reread Y The Last Man and Ex Machina.
In no particular order my five are:
1.Saga(Everyone else is listing it first!)
2.Avengers
3.New Avengers
4.Wolverine and the X-Men
5.Prophet
Wonder Woman and Uncanny Avengers are up there also.
If people are interested in reading great series/runs, some of my favorites:
1.Watchmen by Alan Moore
2.All Star Superman by Grant Morrison
3.Grant Morrison's run on Doom Patrol
4.Y the Last Man by BK Vaughan
5.Bendis' run on Daredevil
6.Daredevil: Born Again run by Frank Miller
7.The Filth by Morrison
8.Fear Agent by Rick Remender
9.Arkham Asylum by Morrison
10.Books of Magic by Neil Gaimen
edit: adding Flex Mentallo by Morrison, it's like reading a dream
Well if we're gonna do suggestions on stuff that's not currently on going...
Annihilation
Nova
Annihilation Conquest
Guardians of the Galaxy
War of Kings
Thanos Imperative - All the above, Cosmic Marvel (mostly handled by Abnett and Lanning, with alot of the earlier stuff also being Keith Giffen) was fucking amazing.
Astonishing X-Men by Joss Whedon
Preacher by Garth Ennis (personal all time favorite comic)
Immortal Iron Fist by Brubaker/Fraction
Also echoing pretty much everything in the above list, and I'd throw the old Crossgen comics in there. It can be painful to read since every series pretty much just ends with no explanation or forced into really quick resolution of the plotlines, but alot of those series were really enjoyable up until Crossgen went bankrupt.
Lucifer, 100 bullets and american vampire; zero fucks given if its marvel or not.
The only saving grace for X-Men Legacy for me is Chamber.
By the way, the last two X-Men (No other words) seemed just terrible to me, it may just be the way Chamber was written there![]()
MAA: Have you played Wolverine with his alt costume? He's a straight up killer now.
