Demon Bear is a villain(or something) from wayyyyyyy back in the 80's, from the pages of the first New Mutants series.

Demon Bear is awesome, you guys are on crack. Also, I'm a New Mutants fanboy. I also thought Divided We Fall was good, though United We Stand was just ok. I haven't read anything after that tbh.
for a quick history
Spoiler: show
Peter V Nguyen just posted this on his tumblr

The best thing about old New Mutants were the covers by Bill Sienkiewicz. His art is iconic, breath-taking.
Don't think this was mentioned here, but after the initial arc finishes up Nova is being passed off to Zeb Wells and Paco Medina.
Not really a fan of the complete lack of Richard Ryder, but any comic not being written by Loeb has to be an improvement.
No! Loeb is innately bad! Bad incarnate!
I think in his entire career the only Loeb things I've enjoyed were Long Halloween and Dark Victory.
MAA: Finally got a custom Sword of the Barony.
What do you guys think of the Marvel Now Phase two titles so far? Avengers AI (a mostly robotic team with a renegade doombot!) and the Superior Foes of Spider-Man (starring Boomerang and the Shocker.) They both seem pretty cool to me but both seem a sure shot of cancellation after 15 issues.
I miss the Jeff Parker Thunderbolts team from last year with Troll, Boomer, Hyde etc. so I'll definitely check out the Boomerang book.
Odds choices though.
There is a rumor of an Inhumans book. I'm excited for that, but I'm sure some will hate it before it is out cause Fraction is writing. Other two I don't care about so much.
To those that have subscriptions... who do you use? How do they ship you the books? I've been wanting to read a couple of new books, but the closest comic shop is an hour away.
has there been any word on a fantastic four / ff omnibus from hickman's run?
I use the subscriptions directly from Marvel for a few books(Astonishing X-Men, Captain Marvel, Uncanny X-Force). The upside is they are usually around 50% off. The downside is they come about a week after they hit shelves and, depending on your mail carrier, can have damaged corners. My friend uses something else, I just forget what it is. If I remember, I'll ask him.
USPS with a piece of cardboard on one side that is a little bigger than the comic to avoid damage. Alas, my post office sucks and shoves things in my mailbox and messes up the corners/bends it in half(despite the big black letters that say DO NOT BEND). It's definitely worth if to save money, but if you are trying to keep them pristine, I would advise against it.
Also, I didnt talk to my buddy yet, but I remembered he uses http://www.dcbservice.com/

Superior Spider-Man always reminds me how much I love Humberto Ramos's art. And how much I miss Crimson.
Thanos Rising #1...at least it was nice to look at?
