Granted, I fault Sony/Microsoft for this on consoles since there's no built-in tool on a system level for determining screen size (to prevent under/overscan) and its current colour profile.

I'm not talking just within the past 5 years. I'm talking since the mid 80's when I started playing vidya. Console or PC. Never had a problem with it being too bright. Dark as fuck? Happens way too much.

I like achievements, but I cat'n understand how some are way over the top compared to others in the same game. Especially multiplayer ones for games that only survive a few weeks online after release.

Oh another thing that chaps my ass lately is all these AAA game companies outsourcing shit.

Konami (though P+ can keep making MGSR), Capcom, Square, you name it, it's being outsourced. Mostly JP co's. Maybe that's why your industry is shit.

Versus 13 and KH3 are the only things I'm actually waiting for. Everything else coming out for SE can stay in production hell for all I care. God I miss the Squaresoft days.

And I greatly support the SE rant. For years they produced shit games and tease us with trailers. How many years have we been waiting on 13versus? And 13 was a complete piece of shit of a game. The fun thing about FF games was roaming, sidequests, ect. Why did they just throw those out the window? I'm not even looking forward to ff13-2 or the new KH. The last one I played on psp sucked. The story was mehtastic and the game was retardedly easy. You could grind all skills in that teribad minigame.

Oh, and why the fuck has PSN NOT brought Legend of dragoon to PSN!?!? There shouldnt be any reason why its not on there.

Face it, since Inafune left, Capcom has proven that they hate Megaman with a passion and therefore they hate us, the fans by association. They cancelled Megaman Universe, Megaman Online, and put Zero in MvC3 instead of X.

I think its bullshit that Saints Row 3 plays like shit, Volition stated they're working with AMD and nVidia for driver side fixes while continuing to make optimizations yet they still haven't released any patches that fix my issues on PC.

Why haven't we gotten Zone of the Enders 3 yet? Wasn't it god damn production a couple of years ago? Kojima was sooo gung-ho to make peace walker, I don't see why he could've taken a break from MGS (since he wants to move on right?) and finally make ZoE3.

Why can't NA/EU get Tales of Xillia? Seriously that game looked awesome, and it was well received by critics, and iirc it was one of the hottest selling tales games. On that note, Tales of Vesperia should've gotten a NA/EU PS3 release, its bullshit.

Pretty much this, I have been a fan of the company ever since I bought the first FF on NES back in the day, I followed that game hardcore through the various game magazines back then. I also loved the other games they made, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana. Now in days their products are shit, none of their games are first day buys for me anymore, I'll wait several months after release, find a coupon and blow 20$ on them for shits and giggles and somehow find myself STILL ending up disappointed.

I have read every non-spoiler thing there was to read about 13-2 and quite honestly I don't even think i'll buy it. I really disliked everything about 13 except the combat system and even then its ONLY after you beat the game and get access to everything is when the game got interesting. Every game is evolving and then theres Square-Enix, still one big mismanaged pile of crap that produces pretty games but lacks bigtime in the gameplay department and they got really bad at telling stories since Final Fantasy Tactics.

As an older gamer I find myself extremely skeptical and very critical of a lot of Square Enix's choices over the years. The time its taking versus 13 to come out is a prime example of mismanagement, is that game going to ever release? what are we at, 6+ years on that one? I don't know, now in days there are much better RPG's out there, Skyrim for an example sold a ridiculous 3.4million copies in two days and only like 14% of those sales were PC. I am aware of all the problems Skyrim has with bugs and shit but its still a great game, better than anything SE has released lately.

I'll pretty much agree on the DLC shit, I just hate how companies are abusing that nowadays. I liked the idea of DLC being something you can do to add more longevity to the game long after it's release, like Halo 2 where it wasn't that obvious they were trying to steal your money yet. Then Bungie started slowly releasing alot of maps, many that were maps on the previous game, now it's getting to the point where instead of worrying about giving you a complete game, they'll just ship out the core + whatever they can finish, and then throw up the other side stuff they couldn't finish as DLC later on.

I didn't particularly care about the weapons/armor DLC that Mass Effect had since it was entirely optional, plus it's a single player game, but with ME3 coming out and having multiplayer it's gonna be abit broken that anyone with it is gonna have a significant advantage most likely.

If you weren't playing on critical and are complaining about difficulty you're retarded. If you were playing on critical and you are complaining about difficulty I'd love to play some of the games you play regularly because I do enjoy a challenge.
