BG Georgia: What to do in Athens?

Have to go up to UGA for an interview with for a Ph.D program and will possibly be getting there a day or two early and need suggestions on what to do. I plan on taking a day (or most of a day) to walk around the campus but what is Athens like outside of campus and what is there to do?

honestly its a college city....so not much. just visit the local areas and find some local places you can stand to be around

Terrapin Brewery has a nice Wed-Sat Tour/Beer Tasting/Live music that's usually pretty cool 5:30-7:30 PM. The Melting Point, The Georgia Theater, and 40 Watt Club usually have ok to really good live music, just check their schedules and see if anything tickles your fancy. State Botanical Garden is also here, if you feel like hugging trees during the day and whatnot.

I think that's a good thing. Less distractions the faster this program will go and I can get out. Just was asking since well be there an extra day or two before my interview.

For some reason UA and UC haven't received my transcripts or GRE scores which were ordered by me and sent by the institutions like a month and a half ago. This shit gives me such a headache.

I'll probably get an interview a UF and I didn't like Gainesville for the same reasons I'm hearing about Athens but oh we'll. UGA is a Ph.D

AQUARIUM MANG. Best one I've been to. World of Coke was okay if you have tons of free time.

This is the only phd program I applied to, the rest were just masters which is why made the journey up here

Aquarium was the shit, ate lunch at hard rock, then went to world of coke which was okay, thought its be an actual bottling plant which is what I wanted.

I-75/85 can go fuck itself. Holy shit
