But anyway, thanks for answering my question: it would seem that yes, many circumcised men can masturbate dry and it doesn't bother them, presumably, because their penises are less sensitive to the touch.

Don't have to get angry, boyiee, no one was insulting your penis for you to get so hysterical.

I could understand if boyiee misinterpreted when i said cornification of the penis as being a repercussion because he might be misinformed about his own penis, but since i am such a considerate person, i will circumcise away his doubts. You see, boyiee, while it has been shown that the penis glans cornifies as a response to being exposed to the outside environment for prolonged periods of time when there is no foreskin, studies have been inconsistent in showing that this produces any negative effects, so the cornification of the penis glans for circumcised men is at this point in time not a repercussion.

Circumcised atheist here, having a boy on the way now my wife and I have discussed it and I don't think we are going to have him circumcised. We wanted him "to look like daddy" at first but realized by the time he even realizes there is a difference he will be old enough to talk to about it and the why of it. Also in recent years circumcised boys are the minority in USA and uncircumcised is the majority so worry about it looking strange and stuff are moot. Plus talking to the OB/GYN we were told that the "health advantages" of circumcision were greatly exaggerated and if you are not a dirty bastard you probably won't have any issues. Remember if you have a son now it isn't the current women that you have to worry about for him, it is the other little girl babies that will be looking at his penis when they grow up and by then this current generation of girls will see more uncut penis than cut penis.

That being said I have never had any ill feelings or experiences from being the way I am. And I have no anger or resentment towards my parents for doing what they did.

I wouldn't know how to teach my son how to stretch and properly maintain an uncut penis since mine is cut. Especially for avoiding pain later in life when at sexual maturity. But I always wanted to adopt anyway, and however the kid comes he'll stay.

You know I'm curious. Someone said it a few pages back (too lazy to find it), and I knew this to be true, that they use the foreskin for skin grafting which is huge. iirc foreskin is the closest we have to stem cell research. So if these studies have shown for the most part that there is few differences between cut and uncut then wouldn't it be good for science to keep doing it anyway? Since the part isn't really needed.

I tried finding any kind of hard stats/info on how much it actually helps and is used since it's also use for lolcosmetics, but everything I found was just a vague overview.

circumcision is a minority in the states nowadays because of the influx of various brown peoples who don't do the snip. among white people it's still 70-90% isn't it?

yes but we don't fund stem cell research so atm, this is our best tool from what I know.

That's why I included cord blood in my post. There's 0 reason to not save it, so it's difficult to discredit it due to ethical reasons.

What do you mean you didn't mean it like that? Lol. You said foreskin is the closest to stem cell research we have (as far as you know), I was saying that Umbilical Cord Blood is superior to foreskin for stem cell research. As far as foreskin for stem cell research... it's nonexistent. Foreskin isn't somehow special because it's "fresh off the baby skin" or whathaveyou. It's skin just like everywhere else on your body. It's only used for skin grafting because it's the most routine way to obtain a skin sample, and people mostly don't want it.

I never said foreskin was special either, just that they could use it, and in that sense is as pointless to a baby as their core blood is so why not donate both?

You are misunderstanding me. I never said that you shouldn't donate both or that there's no reason to donate both. I was simply correcting you about what's the "closest thing we have to stem cell research." You said it's the closest thing to stem cell research, implying that there is little to no stem cell research. The reason there is not much support for stem cell research from the government is due to ethical reasons. When I said "it's difficult to discredit it," I wasn't talking about you discrediting it, I was talking about the general population opposing it due to ethical reasons.
