The Jews where I work, their schools don't even teach much outside of religion any more... So much of their community is, honestly, stupid. There is a lot of inbreeding, and like I said, some of them when you ask their nationality will answer "jew."

Friend of mine who has his doctorate used to teach in their schools but had to quit because they weren't being taught actual education like math/science/history.

Maybe people in this thread are just trolling Solanis but the surprise over him saying he was an athiest Jew made me very surprised. It is as though people haven't heard that people feel that way which really surprises me because I personally know several people like that.

Well not just the fact that there are atheist Jewish people but at the same time those atheist Jewish people are very defensive over their Jewish heritage and their Jewish ethnicity. It is really common at least for me to meet people who identify as being Jewish in race and not religion.

And I'm not kidding, trolling, or being a douschebag in the least. Most families have 8-12 kids, and many of them consider it the second jerusalem, that the chosen one or whatever will come from their community. There is a lot of fraud, ponzi schemes, and other such events that happen in the town all the time. They I think have taken over the majority of the population, and control the town council.

If they get into car accidents, they dont call police, work it out themselves. And for a time when they did get ticketed, it got squashed by higher-ups.

I was referring specifically to the community in that area by the way, and not speaking on Judaism or its people in whole or general. Have a lot of respect for many and have quite a few friends and coworkers... but that town as a whole is unlike anything I've ever seen. It is so corrupt, and the laws that are blatantly ignored by their community are mind boggling.
