Yeah, planning started about 9 months ago when I looked at my wife and said "you know what would be awesome, having a separate political forum on BG". She emphatically agreed and asked what must be done to make this happen. Well, first we had to throw all of our lamb skin condoms away because, ya know, I'm allergic to latex. Next, we conceived. I prayed day and night for a boy and god answered my prayers. All that was left to do happened about two weeks ago when I said "ragns, we need more room in general for discussion of my upcoming sons penis, I think it's time we make a political sub forum". You know, strangely on-topic, I can't stretch my foreskin back because growing up nobody told me about circumcisions and I didn't think to stretch it.

Sure would love to do that now, but it's like putting a hippo through a hula-hoop.

You can still stretch it, it just takes a while for skin to grow. Like months to years while, i think it takes several months for skin to grow an inch or so. But since you just have to loosen it it wouldn't take nearly as much time as trying to regrow a foreskin by the same method.

When I was five years old, I was diagnosed with a slight, but still noticeable hypospadias. Go ahead, look it up, I'll wait.

Had to get corrective surgery. It sucked. Had lots of ice cream though.

If my parents hadn't circumcised me or at least preserved the foreskin, chances are my penis would look normal, since the foreskin could be used to repair it. As is it now, there's a slight deformity on the underside because of the skin that had to be taken to fix it. So yeah, I'm pretty anti-circumcision.

I think I win the thread now. And now you all know more about my penis than you ever should.

Am I the only one who sees the logic flaw in this? If they don't want it done on their dick when they've grown up, why do you think it's a good idea to do it when they have no say in the matter and there's no real medical reason to do so? The fact that no one would want to do one as an adult should be a warning flag to not do it at all, and you risk either making the baby lose their penis to infection, or dying from it. And no, lower chance of HIV doesn't count, that only applies to people not using a condom in the first place. I dunno about most of you, but this isn't a third world country most of us live in, if we got computers and are typing. They give those things away for free, if you want to be a responsible parent, don't cut them as a baby, assume they're gonna fool around and teach them about safe sex before they do it.

There is no medical advantage to circumcision, and I believe it is well-documented that removing the foreskin prevents nerves growing on the frenulum.

In short, circumcision can actually decrease your sexual pleasure.

Also, lol... the chances of you dying or getting severe infection from circumcision as a baby is so low it's laughable. You'd have to have done it at home for it to even be a risk-factor.

The point is not whether being circumcised is a good or bad thing. It's not irreversible.

The problem here is that you made a decision that affects someone else's body without their consent and you're a bad parent because of this.
Should your son hate you one day for this, you'll have nobody to blame but yourself.

Not circumcised, I wash myself, and I've never had a girl complain. Frankly, every girl has seemed facinated by it (at least to my face), but I'm probably not as much of a slut as some of you. I don't plan on having kids, but if I did, I wouldn't have them circumcised.

Ghost, you're the first person I've seen who is uncut and wants to cut his kids. If the benefits are substantial enough, why not have it done yourself?
