I watched the premiere last night. I think it has potential, with the nice ability to tell the "inmate of the week" storyline in a logical fashion, also while maintaining an ongoing overall mystery. I really liked that it was everyone on Alcatraz, not just the prisoners. I was curious how that was going to play into things and then the end of the second episode happened, and that was a nice twist I didn't see coming, particularly that early. The team up between the best looking female detective on the planet and PHD mode Hurley seems a little forced, but I think I can get over that. Sam Neill is awesome, as always. I always liked Neelah on ER, I was glad to see that actress again.

I don't like that old guy's acting and the script can suck at times. The premise is cool but the mystery card has been a bit overplayed. No reason not to keep watching though.
