Kevin Smith, independent film pioneer, is coming back to the big screen for a one night event on Thursday, February 2. Broadcast LIVE from the Scotiabank Theatre in Toronto, Ontario, Kevin Smith: Live From Behind Featuring “Jay and Silent Bob Get Old” will be a unique opportunity for fans all over the country to interact with Kevin Smith, ask him questions, etc. The three-hour event will begin with Smith (Silent Bob) and frequent co-star Jason Mewes (Jay) hosting their highly rated podcast, “Jay and Silent Bob Get Old” followed by a live interactive Q&A with theater audiences across the US. Through this in-theater event, fans will have the opportunity to submit their questions directly to Kevin via social media. Kevin Smith: Live from Behind Featuring “Jay and Silent Bob Get Old,”, comes to movies theaters for a One Night in-theater event on Thursday, February 2 at 9:30 p.m. ET / 8:30 p. m. CT / 7:30 p.m. MT / 6:30 p.m. PT / 9:30 p.m. Alaska & Hawaii.

I really want to go to this, but the tickets are really expensive at my theater for these things. iirc from when I saw the Lost one, the Fathom Events are like $18 per ticket.

A live show would be $60+, and since it is live (he just isn't not there in person) that doesn't sound too bad. It's only $15 per person here, but I regularly spend that $60 on bigger name comedians that come to the area, so this seems like a steal to me

I remember watching a Q&A bit with Kevin Smith, it was about 2 hours long and he answered like 2 questions. And I don't think he even got to a direct answer to one of them, haha. Was fucking hilarious though.

Doesn't sound like he fucked Adam Carolla, it sounds like Adam Carolla fucked himself. Chance at 500k because of a signed contract but then you don't take it? Who cares if Smith didn't want to do the show, or if there merely was a communications breakdown (from what I understand, Smith smokes A LOT of pot now). The fact remains that Carolla had a signed contract entitling him to $500 grand and he doesn't take it (and Smith does) because "that's not the way we do business". He needs to come down off his high horse, because that's how everyone does business. The studio had contractual obligations, they broke them, they pay you.

Yeah, for most of that clip I was on Adam's side, but as it got towards the end it looks like Adam's party screwed the pooch there and was waiting out for certain shit and negotiating and Kevin was just like "fuck it, lets do this shit!" and the difference spooked execs or something. Granted, there could be a decent reason in there, as Adam said, this is TV, different from a one-time movie taping, a TV show I've come to understand takes a LOT more constant work, not just a few months of filming. So Adam has a somewhat decent reason to negotiate shit.
