had a guild named this before
bitches as a general rule hate bitches
well I'm cool with them hating eachother, but as long as they can be put in a room together and talk about hair and nails so that me and my bros can fucking bro out, whatever.
This is the worst thing about meeting other couples. For whatever dumb reason people will expect you to want to socialize with the women that talk about retarded shit like dipers and Jennifer Aniston's new haircut instead of with the men that actually talk about normal stuff.
Gender roles. Blame society!
what's in the tea?
Probably because you can handle it?
Most women cannot. All of my bro's girlfriends suck at having normal conversation and kind of just sit there when the bro's are talking. I can hit it off with a girl alone, but as soon as she's around my friends she turns into a shell and I never bring her around again.
I've met one longterm (1 yr+) and 2 shorter relationships (2-5 months) off of dating sites. One I did meet (oh wait 2) for more strictly business, although I would have liked something more involved with the one girl, but apparently I screwed that up by not hitting that on the first date. She was apparently offended, and here I thought no action on the first date was the general..
In any case I met my recent ex on lavalife and she had the tag-line Talk Nerdy to Me, which sounds like Talk Dirty to Me and I thought it was clever. we really hit it off for a long time but we later struggled on key differences
I addressed the latter option with shiro's question "what if she does not play at all?"
as to the former issue of not caring then suddenly everywhere, I've experienced this too, needy guys look desperate when they are searching. If you act all "uh huh, I'll wait." then for some reason they're like "ooooh he so interesteen~~". But just because I pull them in doesn't mean they will like vidya, so I'm honing in on the key probelm and going from there.
Maybe it's a bad idea but it's the number one strain in my last 2 relationships so I'm trying to head that off at the pass
what post is this in response to? demo's "female equivalent of basement dweller" a whole page back?
Can't remember if I mentioned it in the OP, but a friend of mine is married to a guy she met in-game and they seem completely content. As far as I know they don't eat dinner in front of the computer or pass out on the keyboard or anything like that, but they do play MMO's or PS3 or w/e together, sometimes not even the same game but they also hit the bar, visit friends, go to the mall, and generally lead balanced lives.
Even left to my own devices I can't play for too long without needing a break, some fresh air, grab some food, go see a movie, meet up with whoever, go to work, bla bla.
Yeah I think it was just a reflection of me not liking who I was a few years agoI've met a not-insignificant percentage of my partners through FFXI in some way, which is actually quite surprising since they all happened well after I quit. But yeah I'm hardly a gamer girl any more. I mostly have more productive things to do in my spare time, though if they ever get games happening which I can control with my mind while knitting/spinning/weaving I am so there.
That said, I've managed to get a significant way through Zelda and am well and truly looking forward to D3 so perhaps there's some gamer girl left in me yetNot to mention I have the best Game Dev Story dev shop ever.
