Koyangi; depends, if he don't like it he often orders out..which is def bad for him. Buuut, I'm not our momma, I can't spank him for being a idiot.

Anyway I have a question for BG. I won't say why exactly(You ask, you get water bottle thrown at you/slapped. I promise tho once things shake out, that I will rip the blanket off the new situation and spill the beans) but I'm looking for recipes for two. Does anyone know of good ones?

Restaurants started to give your body pillow the side eye when asking for a table for two?

Simple but looking to impress, marry me chicken is actually pretty good and has a few variants easily found online. I particularly like the marry me chicken sliders.

Naah, I can't exactly say what Kirin b/c it's a family matter, but as I said, I'll reveal it when it's over. (It's still ongoing.) And yeah. *throws water bottle* Also I'm not married, I live with two brothers. Right now anyway.

But not a bad idea; tho I'm mostly looking for everyday recipes. Healthy ones too that aren't too expensive for dinner, that is. I'll check that out.

Decided I was craving Chicken Thai pizza so made my own low carb version with a zero net carb tortilla. No recipe just kind of threw it together based on flavors I've used before and it was so good. Cooked in air fryer perfectly.
    Pretty proud of myself.

I used Zero net carb Tortilla by La Tortilla factory , brushed with sesame oil on both sides , spread peanut sauce as the "pizza sauce" , air fried some Rotisserie Chicken tenders choped up and tossed them in a Thai Coconut curry sauce. Shredded some Oxaca cheese , spread sauced tenders on top , covered with light layer of cheese and air fried at 400 degrees about 10 minutes.

Topped with fresh green onions , some Cilantro, few shredded carrots, drizzle of hosin sauce too and a few cashew pieces.

anyone got tips to ease a fatass into eating healthier? I'm already working on just overall amount/portion control but looking for healthier options to (if not always then at least sometimes) replace more junk food type stuff. e.g. I got a big thing of cashews and just munch on a few of those instead of chips/crackers when I get a craving. mostly looking for alternative snacks and also single serving meals (doing simple wraps atm, sandwich meat and cheese in a tortilla), when possible. most dinners are planned out and shared with the family so can't do a ton with that menu but lunches are wide open. never been big on vegetables but looking to try to work some in (other than the starchy ones I like namely potatoes and corn lol)
Budget friendly is preferred, and realistically the simpler the prep the more likely I'll stick with it even on bad/low energy days.

Easiest thing you can do is just eat half of what you put on your plate and then stop. Put the rest away.

if you haven't already cutting out calories / sugar through what you drink is an easy and vital step. sodas and the like are absolute trash for diet, and you should be eating your calories not drinking them when trying to lose weight. pounding water in general can help, thirst sometimes masquerades as hunger and there's been a lot of studies done showing simply drinking more water throughout the day will help you eat less.

some other broad stuff is lean proteins are generally a better option than the red meats, so swap in chicken + fish for pork + beef where possible. protein-rich foods (like chicken, fish, beans, nuts, cheese, yogurt, etc) are also kinda what you want the centerpiece of your meal to be (along with veggies/fruits), digest slower than carbs and suppress hunger longer. you'll also def need to throw both fruits and veggies into the diet, and sadly starchy ones are closer to carbohydrates in your macros yes. cashews in lieu of chips/crackers are real good but snacking on fruit is prolly the healthiest way you can go re snacking. cottage cheese fruit, apple slices peanut butter, celery sticks cream cheese, raw dog a banana or bowl of grapes, things like that.

also be kind to yourself. weight loss / diet control is about consistency, not perfection. eating right 90% of the time over a year is going to do a lot more than eating right 100% of the time over a 6 month period. if there's a day you needa pound a piece of cake or some doughnuts it ain't the end of the world if you get back on the horse after.

alsoalso if the goal is weight loss any kind of consistent exercise will help, even if its only walking a mile or two or following a youtube Yogaer for 30 minutes a day.

If you're having trouble cutting the calories out of your drinks, Amazon some liquid IV. Adds some flavor to your drinks without all the extra calories and maybe help with your hydration a bit.

I will actually medically recommend water as the best first meal of the day as hunger is often dehydration.

luckily (because I'd probably be dead by now) but unluckily (because there's nothing easy to cut) I really only drink water. couple times a yearif I get the craving I might get a bottle of grape or apple juice, but between how unhealthy my habits already were I never really tried to do soda/energy drinks or anything. too many empty calories/sugar/etc. Most mornings I have 2-3 eggs and a couple strips of turkey bacon which doesn't seem too bad but I can look into skipping it entirely, I tend to be up late enough that I could just eat an earlier lunch.

that's fine for a regular breakfast, not heavy in calories and mostly lean protein, but ye a lot of people have a lot of success with intermittent fasting. i have some friends who skip breakfast entirely, go down to 2 meals a day rather than 3, really only eat one large meal every 24 hours and snack otherwise, things like that. whatever works in getting the caloric intake down.

So okay one of my fav things to do with half a picnic ham:

    1. Get the crock pot down 2. Cover the pig with your fav rub or seasoning 3. Slice in a onion. 4. Cook on low for 3-4 or so hours until the pig's done all the way though.

See you in 3-4 hours when I'll shred this and dump in barbecue sauce. Yep. Crock pot barbecue. I found out the local Food Depot has a butcher, so I can ask them to custom cut stuff for me, so last time I got a picnic ham I had them cut it in half (a whole one is too much for us three to eat)

Okayyy. I decided to try this for the New Year's Eve snack table:

So first attempt at caramelizing onions.

That has the baking soda/sugar/salt on it, I'll be back at it in 10 minutes. Wish me luck in making Alton Brown's French onion dip!

[Edit] Aaand done. I'm going to tinfoil these and put them in teh fridge a while; I don't think it's a good idea to make dip with hot onions:

Hope you weren't cooking with that keyboard nearby.

    Or eating.

    Or existing.

Haha. But yeah, I made dip out of those onions; I'll get a photo of the spread later. From tastes, that dip's gonna be good. ^^

Wish i could have friends over Outlaw, but let's just say my other brother is not to be messed with (Not. Neko) and I don't want to deal with the explosions. (He tends to get realy ugly if he gets mad.)

Oh and you're not the only one that likes shrimp. I love it, hence why I wanted it; it's on ice so it can be nibbled on until midnight. :D Oh and I made the cocktail sauce myself. Not fancy but I'm sure I can use any leftovers.
