thumbnailllllll
Muh bad, didn't realize my phone took extravagantly high-res pics.
I know that feel. That looks friggin awesome. I too fall victim to the "This is too delicious to take pictures of" syndrome.
There was like 3 times as much steak, but it all disappeared before I remembered to take a pic. Did my girlfriend's one well done because she's a heathen. Left it a bit pink inside because there's no way I'm going to turn a delicious fillet steak into boot leather.
Yeah I'd just tell her to eat something else or eat it medium or get someone else to cook it for her.
Very happy that my woman likes her steak just passed purple.
Past*
passed is correct
if the sentence was to read, "her steak, that was just in the past, purple" that would be correct
but more naturally it reads, "her steak, whose temperature had just passed purple"
edit: actually the internet is telling me conflicting things. Is this one of those words that was said wrong enough that it became a suitable replacement?
Just past is correct.
edit: nevermind. food is more important
Past describes a specific time that has elapsed in this case.
Techincal definition too.
Past is (1) a noun meaning the time before the present, and (2) an adjective meaning completed, finished, no longer in existence.
Tapatalk, phone, elitist, dbag, feed me.
I get married in 3 weeks my meals consist of lettuce tuna and vinegar I'll be damned if I'm going to correct autocorrect what textra and SwiftKey says is what you get!
Had some awesome Korean BBQ.
Should have taken pictures, but didn't. Went up to Syracuse area this weekend to visit with wife's friend who's a trained pastry chef from CIA. Took us around the the places she likes to eat in the area. Some highlights:
Tuxedo Strawberries she made for a wedding she was doing on Sunday. Strawberries dipped in white chocolate then dark chocolate; red buttons and a bowtie to finish them. Nothing crazy, but awesome presentation. Also got to tour her bake shop and contemplate stealing a few 50lb bags of Belgian chocolate. The cake she made was really nice too. Vanilla cake layer and cheesecake later with a cream cheese icing.
Baklava ice cream with whipped cream and a honeyed-nut topping. Fucking delicious. Phyllo bowl with honeyed-nut bottom and sweet cream ice cream, whipped cream, and nuts on top. Really good. I've had better Greek food (gyros, souvlaki, etc.) in general in NYC, though.
Beef brisket and shaved steak pho with hot peppers and bean sprouts. Best I've had to this point. I've only tried a couple places in NYC, but this one was spot on. We got there at around 11:15 yesterday and there were already several tables, all of Asian decent. By the time we left there were more tables full and a couple more white people. It looks like a shitty Italian place on the outside in a neighborhood that is less than stellar, but god damn that food. Apparently most of the time my wife's friend goes in, she's one of maybe 4 white people there. Fucking white people always scared of the things they can't pronounce.
Did you get Syracuse salt potatoes?
If not, you missed a national treasure.
I've had those many times before. These were things I haven't had before.
