    lol, ok, next time the government wants me to pay into that system, they better drug test me first. and if i don't pass, they don't get my money. deal? cool. I shouldn't have to pay into a system that makes any excuse not to do what I pay them to do -- and the government spends most of their time now making excuses for taking the people's money but never doing anything to help the people who pay the taxes. Someone who wants to smoke the occasional joint is no worse than someone who blows over ten bucks a day on nicotine or even more than that on liquor, but i don't see them testing for those.

    You shouldn't be spending money on drugs if you are on welfare. You shouldn't be able to buy cigs/alchohol with welfare either.

    They don't buy the cigs and alcohol with the govt money, they use their money to do it. You know, the money that isn't enough for them to live off of so they have to get welfare? Yeah.     I have no problem with weed, i actually use it to help gain weight while working out. But if you are so strapped on cash that you need welfare to survive stop fucking wasting money on shit like drugs. Only things that i disagree with for this law is the that the drug test is at your own expense and that there is a year wait between when you can try again. I just find it stupid that they "don't have enough money to live off of" but they are willing to blow the small amount of money they have on drugs/tobacco/alcohol.

    Nah i don't. But I guess I find it insulting because no one drug tests me to COLLECT my taxes, only to give them back when I need them. Cool. That's totally fair.

    I'd have MUCH less of an issue with this legislation if they tested people for nicotine and alcohol as well.
