Oh yeah forgot to mention that. My mother hated the fact that I dated outside my race. My sister didn't care. My Dad wasn't thrilled about the black girls. It's usually the people who have very little/or no interactions with members of another race that have such a strong reaction. aionls I'm not saying that's the case with you as I don't know you or your life story. In my experience though people with no interactions are usually the ones who fully embrace racial stereotypes and think every black guy is going to rape them, every Mexican is here illegally, and every white guy is a gun toting Klan member. It's very hard to break racial preconceptions.

The issue with black/white is only half-race, it's half "culture". The stereotype of a black person for most people are what Chris Rock defines as a nigger, which is an ignorant piece of shit. You actually do get the same response from people in regards to the white counterpart to the nigger, trailer park trash. No one wants to see someone else with a nigger or trailer park trash, so I'd say it's just as much socioeconomic status as it is race in a lot of these situations.
