Can not wait for this update. Starting to skill up cooking in hopes that I can make some decent gil off them changing the food system.

Looks interesting. Dont intend to come back till 2.0 but nice to see how everything is taking shape and that there'll be so much more to get into by then
Looks good.
Still think all that content will be a waste of time until the merge however.
Maybe 'waste of time' isn't the right way to put it, but lbr with populations the way they are the raids are still going to be fairly inaccessible to anyone without an unusually active LS.
And even jobs... I'm excited but if there's no one around to form PUGs at 50 you won't even be able to really play around with them.
Major patches have always been solid since Yoshi took over. They always look great, and deliver on what they're supposed to. I have no doubt that jobs, the raids, and housing will all be pleasing and engaging content wise.
And then in another week or two there will be nothing to do, and the next waiting game begins. Needs 2.0 bad, and they better have fuckton of story ready for post-apocalypse.
Honestly the cutscene replay feature is one of the things I'm most interested in. Considering I've been playing on a shitty PC for over an year now and I'm getting a brand-new one this week I'll enjoy this feature when it hits later this month![]()
This is what made me quit, and still drags the game down.with populations the way they are the raids are still going to be fairly inaccessible to anyone without an unusually active LS.
You either find yourself your own (and often very enjoyable) crew of adventurers, or you're out of every part of the endgame.
This is not just about server population of course, but has to do with the difficulty curve, the way loot is handled and more.
Was for awhile, but as time went on, seeing how bots were taking over everything from gathering , crafting to exping, I just kinda stopped, as the effort to progress seemed meaningless if near everyone is botting. I like the challenge of competing vs others, not competing vs 24/7 botters. (Also the fun of killing elcura daily on leve quests/behest)
I hear ya.
It is indeed pretty frustrating to watch a bot sit in the Hall of Flames for six damn days spamming lightning crystal synths or iron poleyns to cap.
I'm still playing, but I agree, it's very irritating. Watching a bot go 1-47 over the course of days, never moving, always away status, all day, every day, really frosts my cookies. -.-
Why do they tend to do all their bot crafting in the GC areas anyway?
Um, I suppose that belongs in random question land. Uh... I can't wait for player housing!
Something about it being an instance helps mask the botting, is what I was told. No idea, really.
As to the update, I'm quite glad that both dungeons will be for level fifty, midlevel content is simply not a requirement at this point.
Kinda curious how crafters will participate in hamlet defense.
Also, let me be the first to invite everyone on Rabanastre (if we don't get merged into somewhere else!) to a crafters-only rock throwin' fight the minute PVP comes out. (>.> ) You heard it here first, folks.
I'd imagine they craft bot there cuz it's less lag than doing it in the city? No idea. I idle in the wards for the same reason and it doesn't cause my computer's fan to spin what seems uncontrollably!
I also prefer to idle or craft where there is minimal lag (crafting feels so much slower when you have lag). Grand Company halls, empty market wards, and zones like shposhae/mistbeard/copperbell/etc. run oodles smoother on high graphics settings than any town or main outdoor region with assloads of terrain. Then you have the most obvious of obvious bots hiding in a dark corner of a room inside a lv.20 class quest instance...
People crafting in GC areas are making provision/supply stuff more often than not.
My server then I guess, the Dhgk Fdgsd crowd are scattered across the non-Ul'dah market wards, the people I see in the GC office are always making provision stuff.
