I am kind of interested in this patch, but my interest in the overall project has waned severely. Post 1.20 feels like a horrible drought, and although I have paid for 6 months I may just wait until 2.0s release before I dedicate anymore of my time. It's nice to see job content, and crafting reforms finally come through. I think they should treat umbral storyline additions more like seasonal events. It's awesome in theory to have someone stumble upon something, but I think one-time episodic missions with a two week timespan would fit the scenario better in this case when you have a playerbase starved for content.

This is exactly what I was thinking also. I mean it's already February and I thought by now we would see some more activity. Like you said, something like a seasonal event where every two weeks the activity would become more intensive. Garleans appearing at camps, moving in supplies, creating their own outposts, maybe Companys mobilizing army in the city. I would love to see some fortifications and some life in the city that would make you think we're preparing for something.

I completely agree. I really only subbed for the umbral storyline no matter how much I knew it was just pulled out of some writer's ass. ...and for me, 2 to 3 5minute GrandCompany quests every 3 months just wasn't what I was expecting. My fault completely, but son I'm disappoint. The rest of the content I can experience post 2.0

1.20 died pretty quickly. Moogle wasn't a challenge at all and frankly the rewards from Moogle don't really stack up to Ifrit. So far there hasn't been the right content (or mixture) that gives us stuff to do over the course of a patch.

Eh only weapon that I would use from Moogle would be GLD, there's not really a need for ACC+ in the game at the moment which kind of makes them meh

So, you'd like to see some immersion; something that SE's never really done well in their MMOs?

I'd like to see some too. They should re-do the Divine Might fight and toss it in the game. Wrap a story around it and there you go. Would be nice to get some Hi-rez versions of their weapons and armor as well.

Huh. I always wondered why they never released the AA weaps and armor as elite end-game gear. Shit was pretty badass-looking, and all of it was already in the .dat files anyway.

Fixed... doesn't seem that's ever been what they were going for though.

Oh come on! isn't running through zones with sneak and invis good enough immersion!?! I mean theres terrain full with aggro mobs, maybe a NM in the mix! This is how story would play out for a XIV AA fight.

Go investigate the rumors in Uldah, LL, Grid.
Go talk to some soldier in Cortheas.
Investigate some obscure camp out in the middle of no where on some random ass map.
Find evidence of the Ark Angel's arrival in some random cave in Mor'dhana.
Report your findings to each GC in Uldah, LL, Grid.
Get sent to a camp in each region for additional info.
Report findings to each GC in Uldah, LL, Grid.
    Farm some annoying entrance items.
Sneak past level 88 mobs to get into the entrance area in Mor'dhana.

    Basically. It's AA + a few additions/tweaks.

Phase 1 of course isn't. Phase 1 is more like facing off against each AA one by one, of which there are 7. Phase 2 is facing off against all 7 at the same time with the addition of Good King Moggle Mog XII, who nukes the entire party down to low HP after arriving, and who unlocks the abilities of the other 7 moogles as they die.

It's also similar to the DM fight in that you can stack a bunch of people of the same class to cheese an easy win. DM had all BLMs. Moogle has mostly Archers. The fight takes very little skill if you do it like this, which is why so many people are crying about it being so easy. These are the people with LV50 everything.

only easy if people aren't complete idiots and have no sense of awareness of the king and his flares.

but that being said.. once you find your groove and have pretty good dps archers. This fight is easy... but everything becomes easy/routine when u do it enough

I liked how in XI for example when you went from present day Sandy to the past you could see the difference in how war affected the city. That's the type of stuff I'd like to see with what seems to be massive invasion brewing. Also, wtf with the Lamb of Dalmung, no one knows about that and even if you do it doesnt help much. Crafted where NPC pops for hours and never seen that bitch.

I've done the lamb of Dalamud thing twice; you're not missing anything (unless you are OCD about lodestone achievements). It explains nothing.

It's just there to remind you that Dalamud is indeed falling from the sky and it's already affecting Eorzea, even if it's just a small group of nutjobs.
