you don't understand, elvis, and you never will because you're just as entrenched in your position as I am. I don't understand why you keep making these threads when you, like me, have no ability to comprehend the other side. it's very obvious that like lucavi said above, the US supports israel so much because of christian shit (jew comrades, arab infidels) and guilt over the holocaust, not because jordanians (the parents of the people we now call palestinians) killed jews in the holocaust but because the US didn't get involved until it was too late. learn to read, and stop being an insufferable moron. to be fair, I don't actually think you're stupid, just misguided. finding a cause that actually has to do with you and that you can actually impact might be another good thing. you and I both know that israel will win this conflict, whether it's in a year or 10 years. ps, I've never been banned for my views, I get banned because I'm a caustic asshole when expressing my views and I hurt people's feelings. I also got banned a lot for calling ksandra a fat whore outside of spam, etc.

Nope, you're banned for your views. You're an asshole because of your views. See, it goes hand-in-hand.

Whose feelings are you hurting though? No one should be offended by a human punching bag, because that's what you are to me.

You allow me to elaborate on the historical record of this conflict. I couldn't just make a thread called, 'Israel-Palestine; 1948'.

You come into these threads, say something stupid and unsubstantiated - and then I tear you apart. That's why when someone, like Demo did in the previous I-P thread, says you should be banned from these discussions - I disagree. Without hysterical liars like you, I couldn't refute Zionist propaganda that has unfortunately become a part of American political culture.

I knew what kind of person you were from the very first time you trolled one of these threads. You even tried to get Kuya and I to take some ridiculous, pseudo-intellectual, antisemitism-litmus test which Archi (LOL) submitted to.

Marek Edelman, leader of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, was a life-long anti-Zionist and did not move to Israel. He even publicly related his experiences fighting the Nazis to Palestinians under Israeli occupation.

In the summer of 2002, Edelman, still going strong, intervened in Israel's show trial of the now jailed Palestinian resistance leader, Marwan Barghouti. He wrote a letter of solidarity to the Palestinian movement, and though he criticised the suicide bombers, its tone infuriated the Israeli government and its press. Edelman had always resented Israel's claim on the Warsaw Ghetto uprising as a symbol of Jewish liberation. Now he said this belonged to the Palestinians.

He addressed his letter to the Palestinian ZOB, "commanders of the Palestinian military, paramilitary and partisan operations – to all the soldiers of the Palestinian fighting organisations". The old Jewish anti-Nazi Ghetto fighter had placed his immense moral authority at the disposable of the only side he deemed worthy of it.

no, I've never been banned for my views elvis. you're an insufferable spoiled brat fighting for a lost cause in a battle you side is never going to win. I understand that's very frustrating, and I hope posting articles on here raises your spirits.

but you know, this thread isn't about you vs. me or how much churchill wants to ride my cock. I'm amazed you dedicated so many pages to ragging on me. I wish I could say I'm honored lol

No one cares about you solanis. The only reason you were brought up is because the very first response to this thread was made by you.

You were banned within a couple hours of making that post.

I'm not spoiled or a brat. You don't know me personally, but you seem to think that bothers me which is funny. I have money and I'm grateful for it but I've never held it over people to make them feel lesser. I think my politics show that I stick up for the little guy or the underdog.

That being said, I am not involved in this conflict to see one side win. The Palestinians have no army, no air force, no territorial contiguity. They are essentially a defeated people; a colonized people, much like the Native Americans.

This is not a war, because in a war, you generally have two equal parties going against one another.

This is a colonial conflict and my country pays for it. Repeatedly you trivialize the American-Israeli alliance, but it doesn't matter. It doesn't change the facts.

In the end, predictably, you are only capable of more and more desperate emotional blackmail and the intellectual equivalent of 'come at me bro!'.

You're the gift that keeps on giving!

I got banned for trolling you, not for supporting israel or not viewing palestinians as a unique ethnic group. like I said, if this is how you get validation for your failing cause, go for it. it's cruel of me to continually mock you.

    Try to be more creative.

I already said, that your constant verbal diarrhea (passing for 'supporting Israel') and hysterics, is an opportunity for me to dismantle the pervading Zionist narrative in the US.

You're just mirroring my posts now (you're mocking me? LOL).

Alright, I'm out. See you soon? There will be plenty of new topics to discuss, and I expect you there with your usual verb, noun, antisemitism song and dance.

Should use that as a response for solanis every time he shows up in an israel thread.

Verb, NOUN, antisemitism - but yea, that is the only argument hysterical liars like solanis have at their disposal.

It demonstrates intellectual laziness and ignorance of the documentary record.

Earlier in this thread, solanis had the audacity to insinuate that the Palestinian people contributed to the Holocaust. I assume this claim centers around the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem - a fringe religious fanatic who was dismissed by Palestinian society who never had the right to vote all throughout the Mandate anyway. Furthermore, the Mufti was placed in power by the British government, and specifically - a Jew.

Ben-Gurion, in his diaries, preferred to deal with the Mufti as opposed to Palestinian moderates. He saw the Mufti as a useful idiot.

All of this is documented in Ben-Gurion's diaries and British governmental cables that state the total lack of support for the Mufti by the average Palestinian.

Not to mention, Palestinians are not Jordanians. Both Palestine and Jordan were territories and the the borders of Palestine were drawn during the Treaty of Versailles. I have already documented this.

Before Israel existed, there were no Israelis. Yet, racist liars like solanis believe if they parrot these talking points enough, they will become mainstream.

Even our corrupt political process will not allow such an idea to play a role in negations.

It would be like telling 'the Jews' that they don't deserve an Israeli state because they already have New York (see: Prof. Noam Chomsky's 1988 debate with neocon-Iraq War ideologue, Richard Perle).

Furthermore, following the 48' War and the mass ethnic cleansing of Historic Palestine, a large chunk of the refugees fled to Jordan. How can Jordanians flee to Jordan? Why weren't they IN Jordan already?

This overlooks the obvious question one should pose to a Zionist psychopath like solanis: what is a Jordanian and why do they exist?

It's funny because it's true. Most of the time that I bring up anything in favor of Palestine this is the pretty much the sentence structure I'd get hit with back from almost anyone that's pro-Israel.

The Palestinians are divided between Israel proper, the West Bank, E. Jerusalem and Gaza. There is no territorial contiguity at present because of the network of Israeli colonies all around the West Bank and E. Jerusalem.

As a result, Palestinian society is fragmented. The PA (West Bank) is not at war with Israel. They help administer the occupation by collaborating with Israel and the US.

Israel is a signatory of the Geneva Conventions but it violates them through it's colonial project in the territories:

The Geneva Convention requires an occupying power to change the existing order as little as possible during its tenure. One aspect of this obligation is that it must leave the territory to the people it finds there. It may not bring its own people to populate the territory. This prohibition is found in the convention’s Article 49, which states, ‘The occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.
Source: Palestine and Israel: A Challenge to Justice, by Ohio State Univ. Prof. of Law John Quigley

    January 12, 2012 - United Nations Resolution A/RES/66/76
Work of the Special Committee to Investigate Israeli Practices Affecting the
Human Rights of the Palestinian People and Other Arabs of the Occupied Territories

    2. Reiterates its demand that Israel, the occupying Power, cooperate, in accordance with its obligations as a State Member of the United Nations, with the Special Committee in implementing its mandate;

    3. Deplores those policies and practices of Israel that violate the human rights of the Palestinian people and other Arabs of the occupied territories, as reflected in the report of the Special Committee covering the reporting period;8

    4. Expresses grave concern about the critical situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, particularly in the Gaza Strip, as a result of unlawful Israeli practices and measures, and especially condemns and calls for the immediate cessation of all illegal Israeli settlement activities and the construction of the wall, as well as the excessive and indiscriminate use of force against the civilian population, the destruction and confiscation of properties, measures of collective punishment, and the detention and imprisonment of thousands of civilians;
The UN Fact Finding Mission on the Gaza Conflict (2009) - pg. 276-277:

1301. The relevant provisions of the Fourth Geneva Convention relating to the duties of an occupying Power should also be taken into consideration, in particular the obligations contained in articles 50 (duty to facilitate the working of care and education institutions), 55 (duty to ensure food and medical supplies to the population), 56 (duty to ensure and maintain medical and hospital establishments and services), 59 (duty to agree on relief schemes if the occupied territory is not well supplied) and 60 (duty to continue performing obligations even if third parties provide relief consignments).

Several provisions of Additional Protocol I reflecting customary international law are also relevant here, including articles 51 and 52, which prohibit attacks on civilians and on civilian objects, and article 54, which prohibits the destruction of objects indispensable to the survival of the civilian population.
Israel is considered a hostile army conducting a military occupation. However, the occupation has gone on for 45 years alongside the colonization of Palestinian land.

Recently, the Israeli Supreme Court ruled it was acceptable for Israel to exploit Palestinian resources in the West Bank:

Israeli companies are entitled to exploit the West Bank's natural resources for economic gain, according to a supreme court ruling that says international law must be adapted to the "reality on the ground" of long-term occupation.

The supreme court rejected a petition brought by an Israeli human rights organisation against the quarrying of stone by Israeli companies in the West Bank. Yesh Din claimed that the quarrying was illegal under international law because it exploited the natural resources of the occupied territory for the benefit of the occupying power.
Source: The Guardian - Israeli companies can profit from West Bank resources, court rules

This once again violates Israel's obligations as the Occupying Power to leave the territory in tact that it occupies.

The overall point is that this is not a temporary occupation. Often people refer to the conflict as simply, 'the occupation' - but what this is, is a colonial conflict.

Why does some pointless hypothetical matter?

Does it change the things I say? If you can't counter it (which is not to say they cannot be countered), then fuck off.

You and solanis are garbage Zionists.
