I was in Tokyo a couple weeks back for work, and a co-worker of mine is from India. I kept telling him that Indians were the Mexicans of Japan cause they do all the jobs Mexicans do in America. Made for a funny trip.

Yeah, one of my coworkers I would have thought asian if not for her last name being Pachecho. Or something hispanic-y. Of course the best thing about her is that she's like a mini Angie Varona and her initials are DP.

Thumbs up for this. Say what you want about them; those fuckers work HARD. Had my new roof put on in like 2 days, worked 11-hour shifts and only took a 30 minute break each day and a supply run on the second day. I have much respect for them, just like people should have had respect for the immigrants that build up the industrial cities back in the late 1800's and early 1900's.

yep, most companies you need a BA to get a work visa. I have a friend who works for NOVA in Osaka over there and says that he's run into a lot of foreigners who roll the dice and lie about having a degree and its really hit or miss if you get caught or not.
