I wouldn't even bother trying to catch rare monsters until you get the monster catcher fragment ability (or whatever it is called). I don't think its taken me more than 20min to catch anything once I got it.

Huh, the DLC section of the game is only showing some shitty outfit for Noel for $2.99 or w/e.

Lightning DLC up, type in Final Fantasy XIII-2 in search, then scroll down til you see it. Can also download from the game from Download thing when you boot it up.

Lightning has a 7% catch rate, she's like a monster, need her crystal to get her.

Just did my first battle with them, got 5 stars first try o: Took 7min 29 sec to do it. Now to keep doing it til I catch her -_-

Getting 5 stars has no effect on catching monsters. Equipping the fragment ability and finishing the monster you want with a Feral attack both increase the chances though.

I'm still in Ch.3 and Omega rapes my butt easily, and I started off the fight vs Lightning and was thinking "This is more like it, way easier." Then Amodar showed up and... yeah.

Also, Noel's outfit is kinda' meh. Has way too much of a Kingdom Hearts feel to it.

So Amodar dropped a Sergants Badge that gives +66% str, my attack on Noel went up by 500 lol

I wonder if they'll continue the trend for more FFXIII characters showing up in the coliseum for you to recruit...

Somehow I can see Snow appearing there.. Probably a SEN or something. And like Sazh SYN Fang SAB Vanille MED. would be a nice touch.

Lotsa nice possibilities there really. I hope they milk the coliseum cos there's a lot of potential there. Also hoping for more other classic FF bosses to appear

Edit; what are these monster upgrades other than the 3 recruitable?

I said this earlier, but Serah's Bikini outfit that the JPs got is confirmed for NA release. I hope its next week, I'm going to get in so much trouble buying dlc for this game. I fucking want it all, except for Noel's shitty outfits.

Does anyone know of any early-game locations where tossing mog with his enhanced item-finding fragment ability yields stuff? I got a monster for chucking him into the ocean from the dock in New Bodhum 003 and an adornment from chucking him off the cliff in Yaschas Massif 010. Seems like something super annoying to hunt for without a guide...

Just caught her, 1/5.

Her stats at lv1 are 4150 HP, 554 STR, 555 MAG. Tier 5 Mats needed for her at lv1 and she's a Early Peeker.

Just caught Amodar, pretty much same stats, early peeker with upgrades beginning at crystals
