Tried that this afternoon, wasn't working.
mmm thats how i did myself iwent into xiii-2 did DLC purcharsed lightning there and loaded my game, it auto unliocked the colosseum
So humor the guy stuck at work; what all does the Lightning DLC include?
Amodar can apparently drop a cool bangle according to one user who posted here earlier. Forgot what it does/is named though.
I'm also interested if anyone has information on exactly what can drop and what's there.
Amodar drops Sergeant's Badge (rarely) if Lightning is killed first. The badge is 66% strength, but halves your hp and gives you a continuous poison effect. Lightning drops Lightning Cross (rarely) if Amodar is killed first, and is 66% magic, half hp, and continuous poison; both are 100 equip capacity. They're not all that great unless you're farming fodder or something.
Edit: Forgot to mention that if you're somewhat buffed up the fight should only take around 2 minutes. That makes this fight a pretty decent spot to farm mana crystals (2 drop every fight I think, or I got extremely lucky). You might end up with a ton of them regardless if you're unlucky like me; took me almost 2 hours to catch Lightning. I was raginnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng.
Still 0/15+ on lightning with no fragment skill. I went to the casino and scored a lucky coin instead, figures.
Think I am underleveled for the fight. I got about 230 levels spread across 6 jobs. Is this too low or am I doing something wrong? I can beat their cure spam, but just barely. I'd bother to win if the crystals for pet usage were 100%, but not like this. Looking at a 30min fight atm. All paradigms involved a SEN pet fulltime, because fuck tanking those two on a melee job.
Yeah, 230 sound rather weak. I think something @350+ would be nice.
Ah ok, thanks. Needed the grind anyway, since I got to chapter 6 again.
Snow is only a Commando in Sunleth because he's invincible. He's not going to be provoking everything and taking hits for you as an extra character. His XIII incarnation was best at Sentinel, and given that was the version of Lightning they chose, that's probably going to be the case if they decide to put in more familiar character battles.
Any way to make specific mobs pops more often?
I got the skill that makes mobs pops more often but in Bhodum 700AF trying to pop the silver cactuar a 2nd time, but after 30min of running around still no silver cactuar
Similarly, I have only seen a Flowering Cactuar once in Archelyte Steppe ???, near the Chichu flowers and I can't seem to find it ever since...
Flowering cactuar can be found near the gate you enter the arch the first time. It has to be sunny. I found them all the time with encounter + and the skill that makes stronger monsters appear more.
I think the best roles for the other character would be.
Snow - SEN
Hope - SYN
Sazh - COM
Vanille - MED
Fang - SAB
It make sense since everyone was proficient at these role and it spreads them nicely, there ATB move doesn't have to be tied to there role. I see nothing wrong with a medic casting death as a feral move. You could argue Fang should be the COM but Sazh blitz is unique enough to warrant him as a COM while Fang and Vanille were the only sabs, but vanille is a much more defined medic than sab.
Serah does kinda resemble Athena.. i suppose
..Oerba, don't fret over it, it'll be accessible in 400AF (somewhere around that age).
final boss took me well over 1hr my first time and i couldn't kill it. my set up was too weak.
i'd say 30-40min is the average time, but if you're well leveled then you can take him to 0 pretty fast i think. i know at 50% or less he will always use Dying Sun at least once i think.. I think if you're totally maxed out killing him before he can respawn the other 2 is definitely possible, but if you're just a little overpowered, u're looking at killing the babies twice.
Fast way to get CP or levels?
Still really early in the game. Just got Svarog. Noticed it had a move shooting off in its Crystarium (Quick Stagger). How do I get it? D:
