Is that the big thing you see as you're going through? I fought that my first time through, game over'd on it 3 times, though, but then I figured out a nice strategy to kill it after getting game over 3 times.

O that's good. Still haven't fought it myself lol
I was gonna give up at first because I assumed I was too weak to take it on, but being the stubborn person I am, I hate giving up so easily so I was gonna keep trying >_>
Ah that can be true. Luckily, I was strong enough to take him down while I was heading back to the Map NPC, so I don't need to do anything in that zone anymore because, yeah, endlessly spawning and unavoidable Cie'th are super annoying.
What levelish do I need to be to be able to beat Lightning/Amodar and Omega?
My God... I finally got all the trophys.. fuck the beast entry shit... I think I got lucky with the casino cause I got my lucky coin in less than 30 mins.
Also... It took me well over 75 times to get lightning I actually had to stop and get that frag skill to capture more mobs and even with that I fought her at least 20 more times... the up side is that I had alot of gil and by the time I got her I had 4 jobs at 99. Aggression+Chichu is king in that battle btw. At the end of all of this I feel like the game isn't complete, I don't know is thats a good thing or not but this game is a solid 9 1/2 just because theres no haste spell and some the frag skills were kinda useless... like getting rolling in cp after I have one job left to lvl.
Eyes of the Goddess = lol
I can't stop using that one actually

You can just rewind Academia 400 AF, what are you people talking about acting like you only get one shot at it. You can rewind every area.
Anyone know if infusing Chichu before level 70 will mess up his passives? Every 'guide' says to infuse the Chichu at level 70 but I am guessing they are all just copying the same shit from each other? Looking at what the Chichu learns naturally none of it should overwrite what is infused and even then you only infuse 8 abilities so the other 2 should be the lowest ones Chichu learns naturally, correct?
Tried fighting Rapista or whatever in Oerba 400 AF today before going to bed and lost twice. I seem to be under leveled and geared for it, once he summons mobs it's over because I cannot kill them fast enough. I'm thinking I will just farm and buff my monsters because my Chichu and Cloudburst are definitely my weakest links with no HP and forcing me into defensive paradigms far too often.
Rewound or not, we were talking about how annoying it is to walk around Academia 400 because of the endless and unavoidable Cie'th spawns. We were just listing the only things specific to the are (some mobs and a gate?) that you should get before simply camping out by the Map NPC so you don't ever have to bother walking around that hellhole again.
This line is a bit misleading, because rewinding the Steppe area only plays the intro cutscene for that area... and nothing else. You can't fight the Faeryl again or participate in the Live Trigger concerning it, causing you to choose only one of two adornments. Probably a bug that needs to be patched or something, but yeah.
Walking around Academia 400 again isn't too bad when you have a RAV that'll tend to just unleash a -ga spell right at the beginning to wipe the field though, like Cloudburst or Circuitron.
well for the purpose of getting all monsters, yes thats correct.
i suppose adornments are slightly different but afaik in every other area, you can actually answer enough Live Triggers again to get the other adornment, if any
Yes, you can rewind and get all the other Live Trigger adornments. Steppe is the one exception.
Question >_> Besides losing 100+ hrs on a game, what do you gain from a platinum trophy?
