In that case, what's a good strategy for them? Amodar fucks me up soon as he enters the fight and same with Omega D; I don't have the skill yet though so I guess I have some time before I try.

Kill Amodar first, I recommend combat clinic or med med com to keep the chain going; when they go into sap and slave wait til they shift into something else. defeat amodar and the rest is cake. If you have chuchi or w.e he has brave feeder and faith feeder making light weaker and making him stronger.

Rewound or not, we were talking about how annoying it is to walk around Academia 400 because of the endless and unavoidable Cie'th spawns. We were just listing the only things specific to the are (some mobs and a gate?) that you should get before simply camping out by the Map NPC so you don't ever have to bother walking around that hellhole again.

Yeah I went back to catch Fencer and even just getting to the first two made me rage with the level of random encounters. That zone is SE trolling us, for sure.

So nobody has infused a Chichu and knows whether you have to do the infusions at 70 or is it possible to do them earlier?

Best place to farm gil and/or monster crystarium items? Farming gil to buy them faster than farming materials? etc.

And you don't need Lightning for that (though she was released after I was finished, would probably waste more time to get her too). But generally it's a really easy platinum, my first and that's saying a lot because I'm a lazy bastard and never bothered with this stuff before.

I'm around 128/160 fragments now so I'm starting to focus on maxing everybody's CP out and raising my dream team of monsters. Just got Cloudburst...Wow! The final fight would have been much faster if I'd used him rather than my under levelled Chocobo/Gremlin/Flanitor team. xD I also have a Chichu but I'm trying to find a Tonberry then I'll have all the monsters I need to infuse it.

Q: What do I do to unlock Chocobo's to ride in Archylte Steppe? I'm working on the 100% map completion so I can find rarer monsters easier but I've read I need a Chocobo to 100% Archylte.

You need to get all the cactuars, at least the red, probably the green too.
(i had all the green but didn't get, then I got all the red as well and got)

Just red for the Choco walk and the rest of the missions.

Green is to unlock the Gate (still need a wild artifact)

So is Dark Matter actually used for anything? I've looked online a bit and the only things that come up are from 13, not 13-2 and I didn't see anything in the guide either...

think its the chain bonus +5 weapons that need dark matter but apart from that i dont think so

I just beat Yomi and I've gotta say I'm pretty underwhelmed. They put in a really great levelling/monster taming system, but provided what seems like very little to test it out on, assuming I've killed all the toughest stuff now being as I got the achievement after yomi. I've really enjoyed this game, but it would've been so much better with a hard mode as well as an easy mode to account for extra levels earned through side-quests etc.

Oh well, here's hoping it's something they take on board for the next game.

Edit: Also, Long Gui is a shadow of his former self, it took my L'cie team HOURS of training to be ready for him, then these 2 douches waltz in and pretty much make him explode in a look. This makes me sad.

Am i the only one who thinks that raspatil is much harder and annoying that Yomi?

Annoying yes, hard not. You still need a more specified strat and strategy to kill Yomi, when after a certain point when your characters are strong enough you can just faceroll Raspatil.

Apply poison > Full sentinel > SYN/SYN/MED > repeat = dead yomi :<

I'll probably have a crack at doing it the 'proper' way once I finish maxing I guess.

i so hate the woodwraiths right about now...
i'm trying to get them all 'tamed' in my bestiary entry for "perfect game"..
none of them repop.. so i'm forced to save before i fight them and then pray their crystal drops, and thereafter rerun the whole dungeon just to pop them again.. and if i dont, i quit and reload game.. >_>
edit: the duo isnt so bad cos you can do the retry trick.. but the single guy >_>

Woot platinum'd and "perfect game" done lol.
Approx 63 hrs in with both characters min/max'd, all full bestiary and all tameables recorded as tamed.
Went all out on a COM RAV SEN MED pet each with nice infusions and a fully levels SYN and SAB each lol.

I'll have to agree the hard monsters in XIII2 really aren't that hard at all. I wish I could fight Omega tho.

Time to do a recording of the final boss fight and then wait for DLC

Pumped to get the Sazh DLC, but I don't think I'll bother buying the costumes.. It would've been nice to have those before I 100%'d the game Oh well, looking forward to seeing how the casino games turn out.
