Ok so I just got two back-to-back jackpots in super victory mode from the slots and no trophy popped, what gives?

need to earn 10k coins
Looks like in one sitting![]()
I've beaten the story and seen like 5 paradox endings yet I've still never been to Vile Peaks.
Chocobo racing wins count towards this too btw, in case you like to do that anyway..
I wouldn't call Serah a "terrible SAB". She sucks as SYN but she surely isn't terrible with debuffs. Noel is a good SAB too because he learns all of Serah's spells except the -ga ones.
Monsters have better spells, sure, but I've never needed a SAB because Serah is good enough.
The trophy doesn't require winning 10,000 coins. It requires a 10,000 coin profit. So if you spend 7,000 coins in the process, you would need to win a total of 17,000 coins. That's why most guides recommend chocobo races over the slots. In fact, it's statistically impossible to make a profit from the slots unless you play them manually.
Also, it's not remotely impossible. I rubber banded L1 down and went to sleep (for 9hours) and woke up to the trophy, the fragment, and like 20k coins in profit. The guide is misguided a bit on some things. I think it might be wrong on how much the mood affects your chances exactly, or I got EXTREMELY lucky. I'd figure 9 hours worth of slots and you'd be skewing towards the expected value (which the guide says you'll make back 99% of what you spend). This is what ps3 trohphy guides says: "Earn a total of 10,000 Casino Coins from Chocobo Racing and/or Slot Machines in the casino, Serendipity. You *cannot* exchange Gil for Casino Coins and have it count toward this trophy (however, such exchanges *do* count toward Choco-boco-holic [Bronze Trophy] ). The coins need to be earned, and note that it is a NET GAIN of 10,000 Casino Coins ie. coin losses subtract from the total earned. This means it is vital to save beforehand and load if you lose a bunch of coins." Which is what Xanthe is saying.
The guide says that the odds are stacked (even more so) against you with auto-play, but I don't think that is right as I was saying.
That's what ppl say, but it's prolly only a worse chance if you actually really try to learn the system and figure out when to press and stuff. Anybody doing it manually though is crazy. Save/reload if super bad luck is all u need. And save after every good luck
SAB regular spells have been horribly nerfed in this game. Normal Deprotect and Deshell increase the damage dealt by 30% (it was +90% in FFXIII).
Monsters have access to Deprotect/shell 2 (+ 66% damage) and Hyper Deprotect/Shell (+90%).
Been said that, Serah still gets the job done, but SAB monsters can occasionally make a big difference.
