Maxed Crystarium and a pretty pimp Tonberry to boot. Heres what went down more or less each time.

Start debuffung -> Mobs spawn around time I land 2 debuffs (2x SAB + Sab Acc) -> Kill mobs/maintain stagger -> All Out Rav x3 + Ultima Arrow -> Around 600% chain built, 2nd wave appears -> Ignore, push to 999% -> 3x Com finishing with Meteor Javelin when 999 is almost gone -> Rasp is now at 80-90% health -> 30 minutes of painful whittling away.

Jihl DLC battle coming next week. This week they've released 3 weapons on the JPN store and maybe we're getting those as well.

Actually looking forward to fighting Jihl now that I have Sazh and Lightning in my party. SE totally cockblocked us out of a boss fight with her in XIII.

Her death was pretty shitty too.

Definitely, I was hoping she'd be a better short term antagonist, but she kinda got thrown under the bus.

Raspatil can be brutal if you're not capped. I repeatedly lost to him before I reached stage 20 on the Crystarium.
At some point he summoned 5 Attacus-like Cieths' and they all started hitting my characters for 3k damage each, with Rasp himself spamming -ga spells which kept launching them in the air. There was absolutely nothing I could do at that point.

The game would be a lot more challenging if the Crystarium wasn't so quick to cap. I seriously hope this isn't the result of people whining over FFXIII's Crystarium caps so they made it a joke to max it this time.

Would be nice if they added a hard mode version for people with 160/160 fragments or something.

Yeah I guess that would work but the fights should be scaled for those who are already maxed (i.e. Atlas should have like 2m HP and should hit for 5k damage or so) and there should be good rewards for that that encourage replaying the game (i.e. more accessories, weapons and fragment skills). I could see it working well with the time reversal feature this game has.

Overleveling was very easy to do. I fought yomi/ochu/long gui as soon as I was able to with very little difficulty, only died the first time against yomi cause I didnt expect him to attack so fast, most of my overleveling came from spamming to get lightning for so many hours that by the time I got her i could mow through anything, ran into Rasp by chance and 5 started him by just full out attacking and killing his pets after without ever seeing yellow HP. Hardest thing I fought after that was proto behemoth destroying me after regening his health since i was finishing off the other guys and light had knocked him below 50% hp, did not expect him to start hitting everyone that hard lol.

Yeah I don't get this. the game has an easy mode for crying out loud. Has there ever been an RPG that needed an easy mode? lol The game is easy enough on normal, i would be bored to tears if it was any easier. So the least they could of done would be to add a hard mode

Yep, exactly what happened to me, from then on I killed him as soon as he was summoned or spawned, and hard mode would be great anyone who didn't play this on normal should just stop playing vidya.

I'm going to do Yomi and Rasp when I get home on easy mode just to see what all is different. I can't imagine it's much, I'm going to lol if they do half damage or some shit though.

Completely agree though, there is no reason for anybody to be playing a game like this on easy.

I think the only difference is that you don't take blood damage.

I'm hoping that the more villians and characters they release they amp up the difficulty of them to make them hard as hell to defeat, with better drop rates of course.

If we really do get ultros I hope to god he's at least a tid bit challenging
