Just Anomalous and Chronosavior left.
Saved my game right outside the last boss fight, so all I have to do tomorrow is 5 star that fight and then huzzah.

I almost had my ps3 running all night for the saddle sore trophy for nothing. I had a choco on autopilot in Yachas while I was watching American Horror Story and South Park and when it was done I just went straight from chocobo to the time matrix thingy to Serindipity. But apparently the Saddle Sore Trophy doesnt ding until you dismount your chocobo, which I didn't do. After some more running around without a chocobo, I warped back to Yachas and was still mounted on my chocobo there. I dismounted it on accident and the trophy came up lol

About to pick this up. Anything major I need to know, like some secret item or weapon that's only available early (FF12). Or any tips I need?

There is only one true missable and that's a stupid ornament (Mog's Clock) that is mutually exclusive with another one (a backpack) during the plot-related sequence in the Archylte Steppe. Other than that no missables whatsoever since former one-time monsters are available as drops from DLC bosses.

However, if you care about min/maxing stats things get a bit more complicated with the new Crystarium. If you're going for the standard build (Serah: max MAG; Noel: max STR -> MAG) you should definitely read a guide about it.

Use this for the mog clocks. Thank me later. Oh and regarding DLC, Lightning Goddess DLC is the only one worth it besides the costumes. The other ones are fight-n-grind besides sazh.

Or you can buy Lightning's DLC episode and get a better character much earlier. I honestly suggest skipping all the broken monsters for the first playthrough though.

Also at what point is any DLC worth it? Besides outfits, should I wait until far into, or after I've beaten the game to get something like Lightning?

Re: Crystarium, the only thing you need to know is the large nodes give stat bonuses:

COM +2 STR
RAV +2 MAG
SEN and MED +6 HP
SAB +2 MAG for odd levels, +2 STR for even levels
SYN +2 MAG for odd levels, +6 HP for even levels

Advance to large nodes using the roles that correspond to the bonus you want. There are some "perfect" guides out there but it's not that hard to do on your own. Most people use all STR bonuses for Noel (until the very end of the Crystarium since there are more large nodes than STR bonuses) and all MAG for Serah.

As for DLC, Lightning's Story gives you a good COM early I guess (I beat the game before most of the DLC was released). Don't worry about Colosseum fights until later. Sazh's Story is good if you want to rack up casino coins easily.

Just came back to this game after forgetting about it midplay. I just opened up Academia 400F. Can I do lightning's DLC without being spoiled yet or should I do it later? Kinda want the COM from it.

Flanitor is easiest to raise, Green Choco is considered the best, White Choco can take a beating.

Okay so finally beat this. Not really sure what I'm doing wrong but I was trying the Lightning DLC. I beat Caius twice now but everytime I keep getting sent back to battle with him again when I choose "Take to Battle" in the menu. How do I progress? D:

Beat him and get 5 stars I think? You have to finish the fight within a certain amount of time.

Alright, sorry for the necrobump, but finally beat this.

When I can get my thoughts together, I'll write a blog post.

..But seriously, am I the only one who wasn't unhappy with the ending? Part of it might have been that I knew 13-3 is coming out, but fuck all, it's not like it was out of left field.
