Sounds promising. Never was a fan of SF, but loved Tekken.

They got rid of manface Chun too? :O
lol @ Namco making Capcom chars look way better than Capcom can.
The only people worse at making good-looking character models than Capcom is Bethesda lol, they can't figure out human proportions for shit. Makoto is clownshoes, literally, in that she has like size 22 Shaq feet.
Best looking game Capcom ever made was 3rd Strike.

Development has been put on hold. Unable to determine a proper release window.
And here I thought it was flat-out cancelled.

Harada is finding it hard to justify releasing this game. He fears splitting the Tekken community seeing that 7 is still popular.
Speaking to VGC, Harada candidly contemplated whether or not it made sense for a Tekken X Street Fighter game to come out. His following explanation was not too far from another update he provided two years ago, albeit a bit more fleshed out this time. While Harada is “emotionally up for it,” “things have changed a lot since 2012,” with Harada suggesting that he would need further approval from Capcom were he to move the project forward.
At the time when Tekken X Street Fighter was put on hold, development was roughly 30% of the way through, estimates Harada. And with guest characters such as Akuma from Street Fighter and Geese Howard from The King of Fighters making guest appearances in Tekken 7, Harada found himself “excited” about how their characters looked and felt in the transition from 2D to 3D. But that’s just the thing—Tekken 7 is still doing quite well.
Street Fighter V is also fine on its own, Harada would say, calling both that and Tekken 7 “some of the best fighting games ever.” Harada cited the life cycle of fighting games, which was traditionally one or two years long before a sequel, but modern fighting games act as services now. Tekken 7, in particular, has plenty of post-release DLC support. The fear then is splitting the community. “That was a serious consideration from the marketing perspective,” Harada says.
no point splitting their community just to pay capcom royalties on sales/dlc
Fucking note to Capcom (not that they need it post RE7 and DMC): Good game first; monetize it with DLC second. Tekken is rolling in cash because the game is actually good!
