I keep hearing how good Brotherhood is, but I'm the kind of person that read all of Naruto to get to the Shippuden (good part, plus the initial attack on the Leaf village by Orochimaru in the first portion) and that stupid episode with the boyfriend that was reanimated in the bird or w/e.. just seemed retarded

To be honest, I never got into Brotherhood myself. I watched the first FMA and I did notice it starting to fall off around the points where the two diverge (but it was still pretty good) and when Brotherhood started up I tried to get back into it but the magic just wasn't there. I see where you're coming from.

Anyway, don't read this because it isn't finished and shows no signs of being close to finished and only seems to update monthly but if I remember to... I'll bump this topic when it finishes.

ah, so short, amazing premise though:

After a long and treacherous journey, our Hero finally arrives at the Dark Lady’s castle only to find himself being asked for help. The Hero explains how the war that the demons have brought upon the humans have killed thousands and put more in misery. The queen of demons however argues that this war has made the human society band together as one and showed empirical evidence how it has increased population, increased production, boosted economy and improved society overall. Furthermore, she explains to the Hero that ending this war will result in a civil war that will produce more bloodshed than there ever was. The Hero, convinced that the only way to bring peace, relatively speaking, is to join forces with the Dark Lady, agrees to help with her plans!

are you talking about buggy the clown arc? I think I remember it being a bit boring to start and that probably included the buggy arc but I'm not sure when I started to really like it and was unable to stop reading it until I caught up. You could probably skim the pages as they have a ton of text usually until it gets past the buggy stuff.

how far did you get? When I heard people liked it I went to random pages to get a feel for it and saw talking giraffes and thought it was retarded. few months later I gave it a try again and didn't really like it until maybe arlong park section which is a decent amount to read just to get there. Skypiea section (or wherever that lightning god guy was) was probably where I started to love it and proposed to it

I actually like the sense of humour, he makes some of the stupidest faces I've ever seen and they crack me up

not those overused giant sweat drops or blood spurting from the nose in ecchi comedies but a big grinning, dopey blank look on his face and it's p. hilarious

on that note, I think I forgot to finish Yotsuba, that is hilarious
