Offseason thread yet?

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but the Lions aren't gonna be looking good this offseason. I think they're gonna have to get rid of either Stafford, Calvin, or Suh with the amount of money those 3 are going to be making. It's debatable on whether Calvin even wants to stay in Detroit, which is a problem too. I think if they were to drop 1 of those 3 players, it would have to be Suh without a doubt. Keeping those 3 on board though, will make it difficult to build and improve any further.

just looked up the numbers. Yeah, Lions are screwed. Megatron counts 22 million against the cap (14 mil base, 4.5 mil roster bonus, and 4.5 mil performance bonus). Salary cap is 120 mil, floor is 108. The Lions have 59.5 mil between those 3 and Vanden Bosch. Seriously. Half of their 2012 salary cap in FOUR players.

I think the only contract they could move of those 3 is Megatron's. No one is going to want Stafford or Suh's.

It's no wonder they changed the rookie pay scale. Lions got fucked royally by sucking so hard, hurts more than helps to be so high in the draft so many years in a row I guess.
