I'm aware of his PvP exploits, but I never really cared much one way or another because as long as he has fun doing it, I don't care. That guildwork log really makes him look like a douchebag though, because he extends his arrogant PvP personality (where it's done for entertainment's sake) over to how he deals with people in his LS. I find that far more insufferable than the fact that he took items from his LS because that could just be a misunderstanding.

Not making events guy here! I left the ls due to personal reasons/inactivity, wasn't after any sort of drops. I was never a fan of the loot system, as it's not an even distribution in the slightest. I wasn't really even attempting to start any drama, just pointed out a few things about ls loot while defending myself. Mind you, this is all fairly hypocritical as I benefited from the ls system and got at least 150m towards a mythic. I don't advocate this kind of system in any way, as a few people will be getting much more than the group as a whole.

Strangely there are few complaints about it, but you see a lot of people who put in just as much effort as the next guy getting much less than others. LS funds relics/99 empyreans/mythics via umbral marrow gil and plate donation runs for the empyreans. It works surely, but it's hardly fair. The distribution is really uneven and Urteil generally gets any drop he wants first. This is a rule, and I guess people are fine with it because he only plays one job.

Maybe PVP will have a point when Defense gets adjusted. Enjoy your land of one-shots. The few Ballistas I've done were like high noon shootouts. First person to get their guns wins.

PvP is a weird creature in that even if a game is really unbalanced, the playerbase can still find a way to think of ways of "forcing" balance into it. See: Pokemon, half the pokemon are useless but that doesn't mean people don't play it competitively. In fact some PvPers welcome it because you can show off your skill by using an inferior character to beat a less skilled player (Dan in Street Fighter, fucking Ice Climbers, etc).

I don't follow XI PVP much, but I've looked at the thread a few times and I gather that they tend to do that, yeah. Well, they tend to taunt each other before the match and such. I think Urteil's the only one who has this "character" though (Though if that's how he treats everyone it ceases to be character and is just him being a douche).
