Okay I wasn't sure where to put this but it certainly felt like random fail:

So a full alliance of SMN/WHMs in Temple of Uggly out in the middle of nowhere... several have the same name, i.e. Nublet/Noblet/Niblet and none of them go past level 95... feels like an RMT alliance, though maybe I'm being overly paranoid. Was just weird when I was out there camping Hocho and happened to do a /sea.

I remember seeing a bunch of them (the Cuisinart/Quisinart and N-let trio) at Gusgen mines doing GoV in the past, a huge clump of character PCs just carbybombing mobs. Was just... weird. xD

M'bad, only quickly scanned the list with my eyes. But even if it's not RMT (because of rank) does that just mean someone's leveling a full alliance of mules? Is it like a PD army for ADL spam or something? So confused.

Isn't it over 300,000 gil if you do all of the rank missions? If you have an alliance of characters, that would be over 5.5 million gil for next to no work since the missions would be such push-overs at 99. Over 16.5 million for doing all three cities with 18 characters. Not exactly chump change really, and it would be easier for them to blend in as not RMT characters.

Plus, a bunch of level 95 Summoners could do those missions very much naked with use of no consumable items. Then use the Conquest points accrued while leveling up to buy Voiddust, although it wouldn't be much given how Fields of Valor works.

But, they all have leveled sub-jobs and names that actually required two minutes of thought. I just can't make those summoners make sense, even though there has to be some reason for something so damn goofy.

My new theory is that Tadeus has 15 imaginary friends who want to use Perfect Defense on people, heal people, and use Black Magic to proc things. One of them has an imaginary friend of her own and one owns a sentient cat capable of licking macros, bringing the total to 17.

They are registered on FFXIAH because they have imaginary e-peens and an imaginary need to be part of the FFXI community.

It is also possible he might use them to buy and sell things in bazaars or using trades and registered them on FFXIAH for that reason, but I refuse to believe it.

In regard to the summoner thing- I'm not sure if it's still relevant with burning cruor being such a simple means to making money, but it's always been theoretically possible to make large amounts of gil for very little effort doing every avatar once per day. Given the availability of mini-fork warps and the ability to kill them all naked as SMN, it used to be a pretty good idea.

180k Per battle, 6 battles. About 1.1mil Gil for minimal work. Just a fuck-ton of walking. But yah, Probably better to cruor burn >_>

As simple as it was before with mini-forks, it's gotten even easier with the synergy warp earrings. I'd imagine it would only take an hour or two a day to wipe all of them out with proper preparation, which I would imagine beats the hell out of cruor parties in gil made/time spent(obviously you can cruor burn 24/7, though). That's the only explanation I can come up with.

A decent system built in the last 3 years could run multiple instances of windower, more w/SNESlow graphics and basic plug ins.
Hell, I used to run 3 instances of Windower on a Pentium M laptop I got in 2005.
Throw in autoexec and you could control all the characters with text commands.
