For items that have a very small specific market and are T1 I'd do the same thing as Nynja. It's not like moving it to make more at a faster pace is going to net you more gil. Make one synth and let it rot for a few months on a mule or make just as much gil as spamming the synth and dumping 3 for 1/3 of the price in the the same time frame? Easy choice.

Unless you're in dire need of inventory space (who doesn't have at least one mule these days?) or are completely starved for gil there is no harm in waiting to get a decent buck for your time. Besides, I don't know what you think you're going to make with goldsmithing these days to turn a reliable profit.

My last week end PT had some gem.

TLDR: The BLM in the party invited one of her friends without asking permission nor telling us while I was looking for 2 players to join the PT, once he got in as Lv31 we asked her why? She said that he would come back as MNK99 once he hit the Lv49.
The whole PT decided to be nice & let him be there until 49.

As I have been holding PT/recruiting I & healing all by myself, I remembered him the deal we had when I saw him top to Lv 54 or so, I got that answer:

I booted him as he was not even key'ing the whole time. His friend the BLM girl started to make a drama in PT saying things like "How dare you fuck with him" & talking like the dude was a god given gift.

He came back 15 mins later as he said he would, to try & "kill" birds alone, sadly I couldn't SS his gears, but I spoted a Purple Belt, a NQ AF3 pant & some silly rings/earrings.
