Random Fail XIII: I FOR FUCKING LAST TIME TALLING YOU

So, log on to a Pil Shout by a person named Carley. She had no idea how to set up a PT for this. There was only 2 Whms, mainly all were DDs, she had a Sch in the Tank Pt, Blms where spread out through all the Pts. It was just ew. So a friend starts setting shit straight. Atleast to get the Pts in the right order.

We pop, things are going alright. Airenn and I were the main sources of Dmg till we died. Shield at 20%. No one was procing anything. I think maybe 4 Procs went off total in that fight.

Then instead of running and starting up again. They all decide to keep trying. I actually had time to go boil water and cook myself 7 Hardboiled Eggs before they all gave up. I would have been at my computer helping but I was one of the Quad weakened people to leave when Carley first said "Run/wipe and start anew"

Anyways. They wipe, Airenn, me, and some others disband and Airenn goes back to jeuno to make a real group and win. I stayed back in Behemoth's Dominion because I don't have the warp and I'm lazy.

So, Carley gets back to 18 people and starts up again. Keep in mind the first few deaths are within 1 minute of spawning. The whole fight took about 18 minutes before they finally gave up.


Then Airenn gets 18 people about 10 minutes later. We destroyed our Pils and only had 1 death(myself. I was being stupid)

Don't you cap magic haste with spell, GHorn March and cap skill+best gear+merits?

not without SV or on DRK with LR up

Marcato exists too, Martial Arts and Dual Wield counts towards the delay cap, etc. There are plenty of situations where March/Min are what you want.

I haven't played my BRD much since I got back, but I thought Marcato + Marchx2 + Haste brings you close to capped magic haste? And that you can cap with SV + Marchx2 without Haste spell, without Relic?

Amarch +1 (Hands, EmpHarp) = 80/1024
Vmarch +1 (Hands, EmpHarp) = 112/1024
Amarch +4 (Hands, Langelik) = 128/1024
Vmarch +4 (Hands, Langelik) = 160/1024
Marcato Vmarch +4 (Hands, Langelik) = 240/1024
Amarch +4 (Hands, Langelik) = 144/1024
Vmarch +5 (Hands, Gjall99) = 176/1024
Marcato Vmarch +5 (Hands, Gjall99) = 264/1024
HasteSpell = 150/1024

Magical Haste Cap = 448/1024
448 - 150 = 298, -264 = 34

Gjall99 Marcato + Haste gets you very close, but not quite capped.

Best solution is Marcato Gjall99 Vmarch + Gjall99 min5 + harp Amarch, then swap the min and Amarch for non-marcato.

Dual Wield for Ninja (assuming AF3+2 head and Suppa) would be 45% delay reduction. If you throw a Dancer into the mix, you only need 20% delay reduction (any DW job). If you have a Dancer and Hasso, you are over the Haste cap already.

And that's also leaving out other possible buffs. Honestly, I use min2x or min/mad far more than march2x. Pretty awful choices for 90% of content but brd not being given anything besides att/haste/acc buffs (unless there is something new I'm not aware of) has made the job far less relevant than it used to be. All of this being said, its biased information since I use mnks for everything that isnt lolzproc.

Wall of Text incoming, very sorry but this just pissed me off so much.

Backstory: So i join a ToAU PUG T1 win farm today, half of ls go with me and we're looking for people when we had Novadragon join us. Now this guy has done some decent VW shouts in the past, was reasonable, but when the new VW came out, he started basically using the strat of "i've done this before, it's easy, you all suck, i'm awesome" and not listening to reason and basically fucking up each win with us barely eeking out a win. Most of us are bitching in ls but we decide to stay cause we need the wins. We do imp, he calls one of our ls members gimp/stupid and trying to rep him all because he had the misfortune of playing on PS3, after that things went somewhat decent until we reached frog/colibri

For Frog, he basically wanted only ukon wars fell cleaving the adds, I inject that as blu i can help when possible aoeing them down and our smn can stun them since the adds fucked us at end of first fight, this ensues:

I'm pissed but I decide to set spells and help aoe kill regardless on top of proccing/dding, we manage to get the win, we're all happy to almost be done with this horrible PUG, when we hit colibri, we do colibri, things go sorta ok at adds but we lose simply cause we can't hit the NM and time out at 16%. We then say that we need acc rolls/songs when Novadragon proceeds to tell us that he got the win with no acc rolls and had no acc issues whatsoever, it was simply the 4 min charm at the end that caused us to lose! I and my fellow ls members get fucking pissed and tell him off when i finally had enough and said fuck this, i'm out. Once again sorry for Wall of text but this just pissed me off and yes i did indeed bring it on myself by staying for the rest of it.

Okay, major fail and I'm not even bothering to look up most of the screenshots. I just have too much rage to look back at them and frankly, I'm going to send my blood pressure through the roof if I go back to that. For those of you on Valefor, there's only one word to describe the situation, and you will understand my plight: Yankke. For those of you who have not had the great displeasure of meeting this individual, let me assure you that you will thank whatever set you on another server. Yankke is one of the most pants-on-head players I have yet to meet, in the sense that he's just purely stupid.

For this particular instance, we go to a PUG Ganaub. Normally this isn't too bad, so I figured I'd try for some shinies. First fight went amazingly, proc'd back to back to back and didn't have a problem. After that... every fight after went downhill. All three of the remaining fights were near-wipes with 90% of the alliance weakened or dead. The only one who usually wasn't weakened was our PLD, Yankke. You might think "oh it's okay, it's your PLD, he must be doing well." ...No, not at all. He literally did not hold hate from the start of the fight to the end. It wasn't because the DDs were amazing, though admittedly they were doing well. Instead, it was because from the start of the fight to the end, he just afk swung and used temps. No spells like flash or self-cures, no JAs used at all, just swinging with his Honorbound for 0-16 damage. Needless to say, Ganaub was out swarming the mages and wiping everyone out while this PLD just followed behind him, trying to swat at the big mantis with his little sword.

Needless to say, I'm usually pretty mellow in-game. I don't get freaked out easily unless someone is just plain idiotic or a situation is so beyond stupid that there are no words for it. In fact, I tend to laugh things off or, if I'm annoyed, I'll just go quiet. But when someone is truly so stupid that you incite me to rage, this is how you know:

Part of the fail is me losing it finally, part of it is me calling this "rage" (it's so mild compared to some of you...), and then part of it is just me waiting for this guy to send me a tell and go "April Fools! :D" despite it being about three hours past, just because the universe likes to spite me like that.

Oh, additional random fail I remembered as I type this but don't have screenshots of. Second Ganaub fight, we win with 15/18 people dead, and only like 2 had RR because of back-to-back dying over and over during that last 3% of zombieing. Our other BLM besides me (the only mage that was up and standing!) was too busy tossing 0 damage helixes on Ganaub to raise people, and by the time the chest depopped there were still about eight people on the ground. I at least got to check mine, but I didn't even get any good logs or ores.
