You can't start casting on someone that is already casting, but if you have someone casting on you already and you start a synth, it can still be interrupted and you lose everything.

A short while ago, some of my friends and I were heading out to do Dynamis - Beaucedine. Unexpectedly, I happened upon a dead player who was surely under level 20. I notified my friends, and they backtracked; we Raised them, and they immediately got up, caught aggro, and died again.

I sent them a tell and advised them to stay down while I cleared the area. We Raised them again, and they were profusely grateful, but also confused. They asked us, "where is the exit?"

We were closest to the Pass, so we said as much. To that, they said "oh, I know where that is, I came from there. Where's another exit?" Surprised they'd want to keep going, we told them that it was far away, and dangerous. Nonetheless, they were determined to explore, so they thanked us again and continued along their epic journey.

We were not sure what to make of their persistence, but in the end, we found it more amusing than anything else.

....only to end up back in Buburimu.
