Actually he's got it now. I helped him slap Levi once and I don't know how much other fame whoring he did, but the Levi slapping got him the last little bit of fame!

Reminds me, I should get a vile and vile +1 later when I get bored and see if I can solo leviathan now for fun on smn. ^^

I solo'd all of Waking the Beast on... well BST. Was amusing at best.

Is your SMN level 75 or higher? If so, you can solo the 6 prime Avatars. If it is 99 you can also solo Fenrir, maybe Diabolos. (Didn't try him at 99 solo.) Not sure if SMN can do enough damage to solo Odin and Alexander at 99, WAR and SCH can wreck their shit though.

Sep: It's 99. And at 75, soloing Levi was problematic b/c he heals himself. (You run the danger of running out of mana on him) But now..I do a lot more damage (I took off half his hits with Ramuh!) so maybe I can do it!

You would have to get really unlucky with Spring Water to time out of the Leviathan fight. I soloed Leviathan many times on Red Mage at level 75 with few problems and has a SMN friend who used to solo all of the avatars every day for the gil, on a 99 Summoner you really shouldn't have MP problems now since the job is so self-reliant now with Refresh, Refresh gear, flat perpetuation costs, and convert if you absolutely need it. Not to mention that you should be using the cool old man Ramuh on Leviathan (since thunder is strong against water), you can try to Shock Squall if Leviathan uses Spring Water. (Can't remember what the charge up time is for the actual avatars, but you can try.) But really, the fight is not going to last very long, Ramuh is going to wail all over Leviathan.

I used to solo the primes as 75nin/whm for shits and gilz, and people are srsly talking about lv99??
I think Leviathan was a timeout risk iirc though, damn Spring Water spam.

I don't remember having any issues with Leviathan. Garuda was a pain every once in awhile, though.

At 99? I could solo all on RDM in the time limit... There's no way people are having issues on any job now. Even like BRD and COR...

You're right about that Air. I just hadn't tried (yes, sue me) because I was in a 75 mindset at 99. (On smn you risk timeout or no mp at 75 on Levi/Garuda, I only knew 1 smn that managed to solo Levi at 75 and that was with a bucket of meds).

He's no problem now though; 3 Thunderstorms from Ramuh and he was DOWN. I might be a little cautious on Fenrir (rather duo, again it's a bit of 75 mindset + I AM NOT A TARU!! I think the only one to solo fenny at 90 was a taru, and tarus do have a bit of a mp advantage) but I don't doubt that other than the two hour ones and Diablos(Eww, sleeping my avatar) I can proly solo them now. Here's my Leviathan solo fight.

I'm aware RDMs used to be able to do it earlier, Hawkeeye used to all the time (he's kinda retired now) but with smns, it was up until 99 that you'd have a gang doing it (4-6 smns, all with Levi using Spinning Dive on it). I've had a theory for a while since I heard of that taru smn soloing fenny at 90 that maybe a non-taru could do it with good gear if they are crazy; tho since Fenny's known to be mean, it's safer to duo. (I have a healthy respect for Fenny; he's swatted me twice with his two hour.)

I got my own Alex and Odin solo on SMN. They're piss-easy. Managed mission-Alex solo too. You can do it the hard way, what with swapping avatars when they die and grabbing adds with an AoE from the avatar, or take a couple Mulsums and trivialise the whole thing. The adds automatically aggro Garuda, Pred Claws wrecks face (15%+ a shot) and Whispering Wind + occasional mulsum is more than enough to keep her alive.

When Odin does Zantetsuken, bring out Shiva instead when Garuda dies, Sleepga/Diamond Storm the adds to get their attention, and spam Rush til he falls over.
