If someone was so against playing a specific job that they arn't willing to play it properly (and thus make the run worse for over a dozen other people), they should be adamant about not playing the job, instead of just coming on that job and halfassing it. If your only other choice is to be excluded from the run, then too bad. You can go play notBRD all by yourself, otherwise you've already made the commitment to several other people that you've held actually going on the run to be more important than being on a job you don't like.

For me it's sort of a choice. I have BRD @ 99 also and it's mostly geared. 80% of the VW runs I've been to have been on COR or a DD job but sometimes that shout I see wants someone who has BRD. To me it's a means to an end and if it gets me in JP shouts that don't fucking fail on the drop of a dime then fuck it, BRD it is.

Prior to the locking adjustment, I was perfectly fine with Being on BRD, I had not realized it would make that DRASTIC of a change.

It went from singing 6 songs, afk 5 minutes 6 songs > for 30 songs TOTAL in a run...

To:

Singing 4 songs > party change > 4 songs > 60 seconds later > 4 songs > 4 songs > 4 songs > 4 songs > 4 songs > now people are weak > pianssimo 6 songs > pianissmo 6 songs > continue.

Which is OB-FUCKING-SURD.

Personally, being an OG BRD, from the old days, Piannismo was the single worst thing ever added to bard.
It made it acceptable for people to ask for special songs, because you could put it on them, without screwing up the party.

Corsair doesn't get fucked with single target rolls... Yeah I went there.

Ohhhh noooooo 30 songs, what will I ever do now that I actually have to put in effort ;( Night/troub at proper times would save you casts; casting songs in the proper order would also save you casts although you're clearly incapable of that. You also received a PM regarding the updated method which should've made it pretty obvious there was a lot more work involved than fingering your pussy for 5 minutes in between song casts. At that point, you should've not so gracefully bowed out in lieu of an actual BRD instead of plaguing the run with your ineptitude, but you probably chose to stay so that you could hopefully grab some "phat loot."

Don't offer do go on a job you hate. If you're still asked to go on that job, make an effort anyway because it can actually mean the difference between failure and success for the whole group. This isn't a single player game, for the majority of the things worth doing in FFXI you actually need other people to succeed.
