Captain Jack is coming to The CW!
John Barrowman is joining the network’s new fall action-drama Arrow.
The Doctor Who and Torchwood star has signed for a recurring role in Arrow’s debut season. Producers are not saying much about his character, only revealing that he will play a “well-dressed man” who is “as mysterious as he is wealthy … he is an acquaintance of the Queen family and a prominent figure in Starling City.”
Hmmm … one suspects the character is from the Green Arrow comic mythology. Philanthropist Stanley Dover Sr., perhaps? Unless they’re doing a new twist on Brick or the Green Lantern…

Would love to see Deathstroke and Deadshot being portrayed finally. Always loved them from DC and they never really got the exposure they needed.

Could he maybe make Deadshot miss besides Batman ? Would be sick.

Could have sworn they used Deadshot in Smallville when Clark got hit with the Kryptonite bullet. Maybe that was Bloodsport.

So what's the general consensus? Watchable? Or trying to milk smallville legacy?

I never got into smallville mostly because I prefer superman in comic/animation; pulling superman powers in live action on a budget is hard.

No that was Deadshot. Was tied into the whole Suicide Squad storyline they did.

It was watchable imo, was not expecting him to actually kill people. Gonna give it a chance, doesnt hurt it's before Supernatural either.

I'll watch a few episodes more. It has some CW teen dramaz, but it was a solid 7/10.

It was... okay. The soliloquies made me want to make people watch M. Night Shamwow's "The Last Airbender" to remember why that's bad, and doing it should make people feel bad. The action felt like it was choreographed by a twelve-year-old. At the same time, there were moments that were pretty good (Oliver's first dinner back home, the last flashback of this episode with his dad). The best moments make me think it has potential, and it's really going to depend on which of those they want to focus on. I'll give it two more, but it really didn't impress me.

It really is cape 2.0 with a different lead. Still, I liked the cape so it's all good.
