If we have to wait around for some tard to purchase and list overpriced alkahest though due to demand; annoying turn off.

Anyone know how Ktera is making out with this stuff?

Honestly there was literally nobody left playing K-Tera. Anyone who was playing was over on the FTP server. Considering there was nobody left playing, there wasn't much complaining about the P2W cash shop. I mean there are a few players upset, but the majority have moved on to other games.

But since going FTP, the population has really exploded. BHS has added 2 new servers. Which I think is amazing considering ArcheAge is simply crushing everything in Korea.

only way i found was to move them. one by one. pain in the ass. wish the account bank was actually account wide and not just server wide too

I think the cash shop is doing just fine... stupid random boxes for things like the maid costume are making people buy more and more just to get the one thing they want, and then bringing to market all the scrolls and powders that they didn't want. My husband wanted to get me the maid costume for my birthday, bought 4 sets of 12 boxes for 10k won each (about $10); ended up with hundreds of various powders/scrolls and a few weapon skins but not a single maid costume >.> Might try 1-2 more times, or else just sell off all these extra consumables and buy the costume off the broker (there were a couple listed, but all 20k gold and I only have 6k right now T.T)

I still figure even spending real money on costume items (and getting usable items as a bonus) is cheaper than resubscribing to FFXI, and I'm having more fun derping around on K TERA than I was having the last time I played FFXI too. Every week there's some kind of event going on where you get free stuff just for logging in, right now there's a weekend thing where if you log in on a weekend day you get a free box that can contain the snowsuit costumes or the snow leopard mount.

That right there is going to be my main issue if they put the alkahest in the cash shop. Someone is going to have to fork over money and and they are going to want a premium for it since the only other way to get it ingame would be pitiful amounts from dungeons. At best, they'll keep the MW alkahest ingame but sell some enhanced alkahest in the shop.

@MaachaQ: EME did that with the gym costumes back in November. Outrage was huge but the boxes still sold like hotcakes.

Yep, though supposedly the cost for items is being cut in the same patch that makes the game officially f2p.

You didn't ask if they fixed it, so I'd say Avarice meant "Yep, it's still a boring grind" and I would agree with that. And fodder prices have dropped so much now, honestly it's not even worth your time anymore unless you're doing a 2-3 person group, unless you want a free t14 agnitor armor piece. Anything more than that and there are other ways of farming gold that are more efficient.

They did tweek things for less lag, and you can option to load fewer character models.

Yup, I mentioned it in the other thread. 33-75% reductions generally.

A little birdy told me the arena/f2p/reduction patch is going live second or third week of feb.

Nexus is now everyday at 3pm, 9pm, and 12am EST. IMS essentially shuts down and all anyone ever clears nowadays is ZF and that's it.
