Under what conditions does the buff "Frenzy" activate and where does it come from? Makes my arm glow red-orange-ish, lasts 30secs and gives a buff to Power (+37 if I´m not mistaken). Have been asking this in my guild, nobody knew, cant find shit on google about it either.

Can anyone give me a rundown about classes and their roles? Mostly the melee ones as that's what I'm going to play.

Lancer - Uses a lance+shield. Main tank (can't even queue as DPS), focused on blocking and poking shit til it dies. Surprisingly decent damage though and very good in PvP. Can also solo BAMs quite easily along with some end game content other classes cannot.
Warrior - Uses dual swords. Hybrid DPS/tank class. Only other class that can queue as tank but can also queue DPS. Very fast attacks and high crit rate, but generally considered the lowest DPS. Has 2 stances for DPSing or tanking, using def stance lets you block but otherwise relies on dodges. Great in PvP, can queue as tank for fast groups.
Berserker - Uses axe. Slow attacks that you charge, but godly damage. Generally considered the strongest DPS alongside Sorc atm. Very strong in both single target and AoE. Can block but no dodge til 60 (level cap). Garbage in PvP.
Slayer - Uses greatsword. Focuses on knockdowns and stuns. Good damage, reasonable attack speed. Can dodge but no block. Good in PvP, multiple stuns, knockdowns and a couple of good long range attacks.
They're honestly all pretty fun in different ways. Zerker starts off pretty slow but is very fun once skills open up a bit more. If one doesn't stick out to you I'd say mess around with each to get a feel for which you'd enjoy.

How are the european servers? I know they're not run by Ncsoft or whoever runs the NA/KR ones, is it up to date with content and stuff, or should I just play on NA ones and avoid them?

I'm in the UK and play on NA. Ping has never been a problem outside of PvP in BGs. Can feel wonky there but I see similar complaints from NA peeps so in some cases it might just be the game. Don't ever really feel like I'm at a big disadvantage.

One last thing, is the game enjoyable PvE wise? I may hop in to PvP here and there but my main focus will be PvE, Aion left me a pretty bad taste in this regard, I don't want the same thing to happen (ie: forced PvP bullshit to get anything done).

Also, I remember reading you can play the game with a gamepad, is it feasible to be competitive with it or is it more of a leveling/farming thing?

I barely touch PvP and I would say I still enjoy TERA, though I will never be able to get the best gear without it (Conjunct and Visionmaker). I also play with a gamepad + keyboard and would say that it's mostly doable, at least as a healer. As a melee class I'm not sure, they have many more abilities that might make it necessary to have your hand on the keyboard hitting hotkeys more often rather than relying on controller key combinations (it can get really complicated trying to press 3+ keys on the gamepad to activate a skill vs 1 key on the keyboard).

Pad is pretty poorly implemented but works just fine. I use it full time since my KB is broken. Can use for anything PvE np but you'll be at a bit of a disadvantage in PvP. As Maacha mentioned, the very best armour in game (Visionmaker, Conjunct is for PvP only so np) does require you to do PvP BGs, but given you have to clear the hardest content in the game to get it it's absolutely not required. Gear progression has made endgame a little weird. There's a bunch of dungeons at 60 that nobody really runs because nothing good comes from there. That aside PvE is enjoyable. Even leveling is fun thanks to BAMs (essentially party boss mobs, but soloable in most cases if skilled).

My wife and I use a controller, no real problems at all for PvE stuff (which is all we do). I enjoy the PvE immensely and as others have said, the BAMs and dungeon bosses are a lot of fun.

You can't roll two of the same line, but you can get one line that increases crit damage +.04 and another increasing crit rate by 2.

It's a buff (well technically debuff) from the wraith mob thingys in Necromancer's Tomb, and zerker's Fiery Rage has the same arm glow. I think there's a few other mobs that give it as well, but can't remember off the top of my head. I believe it's %-based as well. I think there's a similar buff in Nexus as well, but I don't remember if it actually had an animation.

In regards to your question, the closest I can think of to a buff called "Frenzy" is a skill that Berserkers get that temporarily sacrifices endurance to increase power. The other alternative is that some mobs (Ossugons come to mind; the large skeletons with capes and great swords) have an attack that inflicts a similar status on you when hit by it (+ to power, - to endurance). The one from the mob might be the one you're thinking of.

Rolled a Slayer, hope I can do a good role doing damage and don't get my ass handed to me in PVP

I'm having kind of a hard time getting stills to go off in the direction I want them to though, still need to get used to the combat I guess

Anyway, what should I focus on stat wise with a Slayer? are there rotations in this game or is it like GW2?

Stats as a dps that never solos 2x Haste, behind, enrage
Stats if you solo alot 2x haste, boss, enrage (get this one honestly as a slayer)
either is fine for full time it all depends if your trying to get max deeps then the top one would be the better pve weapon for burn phases

theres no real rotation because everything kinda links to overhand then measured slice
but here's how i open up
dash > whirlwind > overhand > slice
Overpower > hearthrust > overhand (do this as many times as the reset allows)
Knockdown > overhand
stunning backhand > overhand
startling kick > overhand > slice (should be up by then)

most of the time your dodging and moving so any real "rotation" gets interrupted by the boss movement/stuns/aoes

The triple crit rate glyphs are what make slayers OP, get your
