Man i still remember those days rocking the haubies/osodes/YYR hahaha are you Rev or Nats? i can't really tell from that pic lol
MCHM. What is the tips to down first boss? My party wiped like 25 times due to he randomly aggro and just attacked whoever he pleased. We did try tank at the corner. Just straight up tanking at mid. The only thing that keep wiping us is the jelly. I feel like dodge jelly is pissed easy but somehow my party kept getting wiped. I need an idiot-proof method to kill him.
Also, if you have tips for 2nd boss, please do. Probably another 20+ wipes before we get through him.
If you have the secondary aggro circle, then the jellies will be on you. When they spawn, move away from the boss (an empty corner would be nice) and stop for a sec. When they catch up and start to attack, jaunt and you're safe. Your party shouldn't be taking more than one hit.
As for the second boss, just fight it towards the entrance of the room. That way, when it goes to the center to spawn adds, it'll be facing the other side and you can just dps it down. When it gets through the third set of adds, run back to the entrance and spam jump. If dps isn't an issue, you should be able to push it down so that it goes straight to the next set of adds. Make sure your party knows to jump for the parasites.
If you got castanics, using that combat running is nice, it'll outrun the jellyfish.
As guy mentioned, if you notice the 2ndary target circle, that means jellyfish are spawning soon on you.
If your around like 25-30m range away, the jellyfish may spawn/go right after the tank so be careful of that.
The boss does not have random aggro, when he targets jelly on someone, he will go attack them for like 10 seconds (even if they die within 2-3 seconds), it is not possible to get aggro off that person (it will still attack the spot they were at even if they disconnect/teleport out).
Only other time he looks like he has random aggro, is when he turns to do his 2ndary double attack "ranged slash".
2nd boss is easy, you can do it the "normal" method where you just kill the colors the boss flashes in a big massive text to everyone to kill. Or you can lookup the cheese fight method (dunno if they fixed it) where you just dps him a bit, then jump up the wall.
Anyway, first boss is pretty much hardest (dam jellyfish), 2nd boss is a joke. Also dunno about that wait n juant method with jellyfish... there are like 3 of them, and each hit about 20K each... and considering they go from fly -> attack in 1 second, you better have some fast reaction to not be raped in 1.5seconds (jaunt too early and your raped also).
Usually running everywhere, you'll get 1 hit per 2 secondish window and a decent healer cna heal them up , unless the tank is being anally reamed for whatever reason >.>
2nd boss cheese isn't fixed yet.
The old method to cheese him was fixed (probably the one Gulk was referring to by saying "jump up the wall"), but there is a new way to cheese it. Rasengan already explained the new way to cheese it. The new way doesn't work 100%, some people will still randomly get pulled in and killed. But it still saves some time over killing it normally.
It appears that "old way" only pulls you if you happen to be touching the ground for that split second.
Thanks, we cleared first boss and got Queen down to 5%.
Should we spend sometimes in KNHM for Emberspar for Lancer? I heard Kelsaik Fire Weapon proc nicely on Queen.
Pretty sure.
I didn't think it was broken in the first place, I thought the weapons were basically intended to be used against the queen, apparently according to the lore it makes sense? I don't follow lore, that's just what I've heard. And I don't believe it's been "fixed."
In any case, the fire weapon won't make or break your kill. And if you got her to 5% without one then you definitely don't need one. If you do get one, be careful not to hit her while she's standing because if it procs and interrupts it then people will die.
I've noticed Embarspar to be more of a hindrance than a help at times. Especially if your tank is using it the first time on queen. Typically more inexperienced tanks who use them prefer to take debuffs as well to keep an eye on debuff timers.
Randomly, guess they removed the auto logoff on afk? I was testing out a new hardrive (just to see if it can record at 1440p without issues) and came back 2 hours later still logged in O_o
Auto logoff is still there but it's not consistent for some reason.
Rng!
Emberspar was never technically broken, so it still works even now on her. Whether is was an oversight that it could proc on her when nothing (almost nothing) else can, or intentional by Blue Hole, I can't say, but it's pretty safe to assume that it won't be going anywhere, especially with the new T14 KN Raid weapons coming in mid-May that will have, what appears at first glance, to be the same buff (Pulsing Flame/Freezing Prison) that the regular T13 Kelsaik weapons have.
I agree that Emberspars are 100% unnecessary, though they can be helpful for groups that are learning; an Emberspar won't make or break consistency, but it can make or break an attempt that has started to fall apart (RNG applicable, of course).
