Uninstalled all of it and was surprised to see that I can still use all 12 buttons with no problem. I guess I can't use macros or customize the buttons other than the default 1-12 keys, but that's an acceptable tradeoff to their intrusive software.

There is a switch on the bottom of the mouse to have the buttons correspond to the number pad. So that's your other driverless option. I haven't installed the drivers yet and I played the game totally fine.

Definitely won't be installing it after I read your post. It's a shame Razer still hasn't figured out how to write simple, functional drivers. Who needs to share their settings across different computers for their gaming mouse?!

There is no reason to use Synapse if you don't like it (which I fully understand and agree, I don't either. Considering switching back to the 3.0 drivers myself).

From what I see, you won't miss any feature with the 3.0 drivers and the macro generator works exactly the same, so the only thing you'll "miss" is the cloud storage of your settings. Why would you need that... heck if I know.

What time does the EU Tera start? I think they went down around 3pm PST last time so does it start @ 3am PST on Friday?

GMT+1 is six hours ahead of EST, so if they start at 3:00pm GMT+1, that's 9:00am EST, and 6:00am PST. Tomorrow is supposed to be a two-hour stress test with a character wipe at the end in order to better prepare for the weekend, but I'm not sure exactly when it starts. I'm also told that servers won't go down at night this time, but I'm not sure on the validity of that.

Ok sounds good. Don't know if you saw my other post(in BG Tera discussion), but what type of server did you want to roll on? I'll probably be testing out my stuff and don't know how long it will take me to get accustomed to it.

I saw it; my Lv22 character was on the Arborea PvE server so we can go with that one, but I'll probably start a new character for CBT2; they were a Lancer, but I already plan to make that my main class on retail, so I'll hold off on playing it for now. I'm thinking of rolling either Sorc. or Berserker for this weekend's beta.

I have a Mystic alt on the NA servers, and after seeing the Mystic video I'm actually rather excited to get it leveled up; it does look fun (I ran healer/WHM on FFXI and loved it just as much as Paladin). In terms of this weekend, it's likely I'll do Sorcerer over Berserker if for nothing but how awesome cloth armor looks. I'll play around on both, however, for about an hour tomorrow during the stress test and make a decision later. Speaking of, the test looks like it'll start at 8:00am EST/5:00am PST.

My usual setup in MMOs is to bind R to auto-run and ctrl-R to reply, but in Tera, apparently hitting ctrl-R will trigger the auto-run as well. Do other people have this problem?

I'm guessing there are EU-specific beta codes for the EU test tomorrow that the pre-order of the NA client does not give automatic access to?

The default autorun key should be num lock. Autorunning can glitch, though, when you mess with the game's focus in some way. The game kept thinking I had keys pressed down if I alt+tabbed out while running and stuff like that until I pressed them again.

I believe so, yes. The frogster ver of tera is different than eme

how many characters can you create in the normal game like is it ffxi pay per player or just pay x amount for certain amount of slots?
