Embrace the skittles you throw on the ground, for they are GLORIOUS!
Orbs are awesome. lv 28 and MP orb makes you everyone's bff. Mystic is my (and the rest of my guild's it seems) favorite job. Has great solo longevity with tank pet and hp/mp orbs you can go nonstop. Its awesome.
I'm prob rolling RP-PvE on release so I can RP as a sexy castanic paraplegic with a 20ft dick.anybody planning to make/be in a guild thats on a PvE server?
And also because people I know from WoW are rolling that and we'll prob make a guild.
What do you think would be better:
A: Using the Open Beta and Head Start to level one character as high as possible.
B: Using the OB to level one character as high as possible, and using the HS to level another character as high as possible.
"A" would allow me to start the end game grind a lot faster of course. While "B" would help me get another class out of the starting zone mad rush come May 1st. I feel a decent amount of people will get close to 60 in the OB and HS, then will want to start a 2nd character around when the official release date hits. With option "B", even though I'll be behind with my first character, my 2nd character will be past all that nonsense.
Would prob go with A just so you can stay ahead of the shitstorm if possible.
I'm not sure how bad the shitstorm will be given that they'll just keep adding channels if it's really busy. I think having a higher level to provide money/gear to a lower makes life a lot simpler on that lower level.
However I'll probably do B just because I don't know what job I want to play yet. I thoroughly enjoyed all three jobs I played in beta (mystic, slayer, and sorc).
Wrong type of shitstorm I think Coren;
Pack when Cataclysm was released, me and my roommate hit the level cap 24 hours after the game was released. We enjoyed the next two weeks of doing the max level content with the other first set of hardcore players. EVERYONE had an awesome mentality, everyone was a good player, everyone was seeing the content for the first time and wiping like crazy, but progressed nevertheless. It was like having raiders with shitty gear gather together. Then as time went on, you'd get the morons who ragequit after 2 attempts and fails, and you'd get people in PVP gear that fake their iLevel to get into places.
Being on the cutting edge puts you in a different tier above the others. While there are still problems of finding enough of X mob to kill Y number quickly enough, the ensuing shitstorm applies to such a broader concept.
Well, if Nexus is implemented, that should be worth a first pack high level character, so you can do it without it being the cluster fuck zerg it looked like in KTERA.
yea that and the "WHERE DO I GET A MOUNT!" in area chat and the "HOW DO I GET BACK TO THE STARTER ISLAND" when they use the velika teleport scroll at lvl 7 -.- (great idea there enmasses)
Area chat in tera makes me want slap myself, hopefully when this actually launches it won't be filled with this amount of stupidity (One can only hope)![]()
Yeah lvl 30+ area chat is usually just people looking for groups to do BAM quests and such.
Are there any secret gimpness things on archer I don't know about? It seems most of the talk about classes is pretty much people planning on playing everything except archer and maybe priest. I was planning for my first to be archer, but I will most definitely have a slayer for awesomeness as well.
Dunno about others, but after playing other games, I have a loathing of archers that cannot be accurately described with human language.
That's why I don't personally play them.
From my understanding all of the classes did well in the Lv58 content, but since the first QoA patch w/ the new Lv60 dungeons the encounters don't lend themselves well to the play styles of berserkers & archers. Don't take my word for it though, I've been watching too many K-Tera streams on TwitchTV inbetween CBTs.
Bad Archers are having a tough time with the new content. Because the new bosses and Bams do so much dmg and their att speeds are so fast that Archers tend to get 1 shotted if they stand around and just use charge shot. Good Archers watch the Boss moves and know when to run and get out of the way. You would be surprised at how hard that is for some people. So Archers are starting to get a bad rap.
