Can not decide between Slayer and Sorcerer. My primary focus will be PVE, but I want to be able to hold my own in open world pvp. Although I feel Slayer is a better playstyle for me, I'm afraid there will be 1000 slayers looking for PVE groups at any time, so sorcerer is the alternative choice. Is there anything to discourage to bring 2 (or 3) slayers into a PVE group?

I'd assume typical mmo rules apply for 5 (or is it 6) man dungeons: you don't want to double up on any class unless you can't get anybody else. really no point to when you consider 1 tank, 1 healer... why bring 2 of the same dps?

In this game there isn't any system that 2 of the same dps "messing" the other up by overwriting/cancelling something. 2 warriors under the new system seems to be encouraged. Then it only conflicts if you're trying to keep armor classes even for wearing equips, rather than just breaking it all down for enchanting.

As long as you don't mind getting ganked in one hit by players twice your level while checking in at quest NPCs, it can be pretty fun. You can switch channels to try to avoid the players camping NPCs if you can scope them out ahead of time.

FFS I didn't even see the pvp/pve note when I picked a random server. I'm on the one with a waterfall-ish name, I hope that was a PVE one. Not that it would be too hard to reroll as i'm not even lvl 10.

Do all classes have a ton of aoe attacks like berserker, or is that the main draw to that class? I have two at lvl 7.

FFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU for Name Reservation what all do you have to do? Log in and just type in a name or what? Reason I am asking is I am leaving for China on Tuesday so I doubt I can log in and do it and I might get Welt to do it.

Hmmmmm okay sounds good, the only thing is I have to make sure Weltall knows what type of look I want. I guess I should start messing around with numbers and what not then.

Haven't been able to play in closed beta recently because of school and what not, and as such, was not able to follow the recent updates. Is the list of servers for retail announced yet or will it be same for beta? Will BG stay with Jagged Coast from beta to retail?

From talking to Weltall it seems that it is still up in the air which server we will be on.

Question about equipment remodel: Do I have to purchase templates? I was trying to figure out how this system works, and I get the concept of it all but I thought we could use crafted armor for "looks". Is this right? Templates are pricey and some of them are starter gear style visuals, which I dunno why people would pay insane cash for that.

For reasons beyond me, people use shitty looking starter and lowbie gear so that people can't guess their gear grade/skill level in PvP, so that could be a reason for people to pay for those sorts of templates.

As far as I know, the only items that can be used for templates are either purchased from the vendor, or made through crafting. I don't remember any gear I picked up in the fields being eligible as a template. Perhaps exceptions exist.

I heard enchanting is being revamped so you no longer get negative tiers? Heard this was NA only was wondering if KR as well

Heard all Instance Rares and Superiors were being BoP instead of the soulbinding system? Wondering if this is NA or both versions ( I liked getting a super rare item from the 30 instance and selling it for moneys >_>)

You will find the changes on the news section of the official forums, but I don't think anyone has a comprehensive bullet point list of the changes, so you'll need some digging.

For the first inquiry, indeed the negative progression on enchanting if being removed. It's US/EU only as far as we know.

As for the BoP items, there are no details on what exactly will become BoP. Considering OBT will have the final patch we'll know very soon.

There were permanent dyes from the blue boxes they tested in CBT4, the ones from the merchant aren't permanent though. I believe there's a way to MAKE dyes too? But I don't know what the time-limit on those are or anything about them really... :D All I know is I snagged up about 27 permanent, full color dyes in CBT4.

The permanent dyes were part of the random events; you can't buy them anywhere in-game to my knowledge. There's bound to me several events throughout the life of the game, so I'm not too worried; we'll get some eventually.

As for bind-on-pickup, to my knowledge most of that only occurs with items from near-endgame dungeons and only with specific items, but I could be wrong; I'm not too worried about it though.

You can easily make dye, it comes from gathering which many people did not do during a beta test. The junk item off of all gathering types will net you a color (green from ore for example), all you have to do is buy a "kit" from the dye npc and use it. It will open a crafting like thing to make the dye and you can sell/use it after it is made. The days the dye last should be noted on the dye you buy, so think there was a kit with 1day/7day, either way its not hard to just gather some stuff and acquire the base dye material.(the dye time only counts when you are logged in to that character, so you an be offline and the dye timer stops.)
