sit n wait, checksum error changes to "obtaining manifest" and then after more waiting it "should" proceed. someone was talking about it earlier... other then that dunno.

Also just incase...! make sure the patch has admin access right click -> properties -> compatibility -> admin etc etc

dunno how it is in KTERA, but during cbt on one char, i had gotten weapon smithing, armor smithing, and alchemy to little over 200. foci crafting to 100, and cloth to 100. doesnt seem to have an overall limit on it

So, attempting to log into my En Masse account to get in on Open Beta (and maybe buy the game too if my latency isn't too bad over here), but I keep getting an error...



I try entering the code from my email, but that box with the red X keeps showing up. I tried opening the page in IE to make sure NoScript wasn't messing it up, and I tried turning on my VPN, but nothing so far has worked... Halp T.T

It seems to me the prologue is an instanced introduction to the game, similar to what Vindictus has, which is skipable.

I managed to get past the problem by rebooting my computer and turning on VPN before I launched my browser. I bought the digital collector's edition from the EnMasse site, but now I can't get past the login on the launcher >< All the forum posts I'm reading seem to imply that I would need to disable my VPN, but I can't do that because they IP blocked Korea... dammit I just want to play the game I like in my preferred language T.T

Funny that they allowed me to buy the game from their own site while logged in on a VPN, but I can't log in to the client itself... I should have logged by Beta code and tried to play before I went and bought the damn thing >< wonder if I'd be allowed a refund if it still won't work...

- Is there battle music when you get into a fight? Or can I set my own? or is there an addon to do this? =p
- Assuming I'm level capped and wandering around a low level area, if I spot someone in trouble, can I just bumrush in and be a hero to someone? lol
- Is the "BG Selected" server (getting) full? I was wondering what are my chances of getting on it after I purchase the US copy of the game and make a US account -- otherwise i'll chill for a month after the initial rush dies down

There is. As for setting your own, I don't believe so.

Sure, if that's what you want; when not in a city/safe zone (which is near instance entrances and outposts) there's to stop you from attacking someone else or someone else from attacking you.

It's "Near Capacity" but that's by Early Character Creation standards, and it's likely even more space will open up once Open Beta starts later this afternoon, and even more on retail day.

No ones figured how to "recompress" files to the gpk type uses atm so nope, although from what I hear the guy over at tera mods said on NS forums he will be working hard to mod the game come retail, so there is hope!

You can attack others mobs yes, or attack their pk'er...! or both at the same time! O_o (they get all the lot though, first touch mob = gets loot of said mob)

Yes and no; the first person to claim a mob has a higher chance of getting loot, but if an outside party does the majority of the damage, it can reduce the quality of the drops, or make it so that there's no drops at all.

I'm sure the battle music is good enough to retain, but I occasionally like to replace it with Final Fantasy stuff to retain the old feeling. Part of the reason why I can still play WoW is because of the Soundtrack addon. If I didn't have that I think I would be long bored out of my mind.

I read it as an extension of the starter area, and something that would be very short since after its over you start at level 1 on the Isle. Just like the beginning tower in Vindictus that teaches you the basics of gameplay and also probably skipable.

I've only noticed this with a guard, where as they 1 shot a mob, in which case it won't matter if the mob is 90%+ or below 10% hp, it drops nothing. Although playing as berserker, touching a pve mob tends to instantly kill it, so haven't really had a chance to test it out

some the music in tera really isn't bad, kinda like the "Bam/mini boss for a quest" type music that kicks in when fighting.
