are the preorder items really good? or not needed? curious as I haven't pre-ordered yet and won't if the items are meh, but if they're good I may pre-order now from the site. haven't paid much attention to TERA until recently unfortunately :/ (have some extra money due to cancelling another preorder)

Apparently my order for the CE off the EnMasse website was cancelled along with my prepayment for subscription >.> I'd love the physical CE, but I want the white horse again like I have in K-TERA and you can only get him from the official store. I'm thinking it has to do with my VPN just like when I had trouble paying for FFXI after the SE account change. Looks like I need to VNC into my parents computer in order to buy the game and purchase time... such a hassle but at least I can prepay for a whole year. Someone on the official forums said they are able to play via VPN in Singapore, so once I get the game paid for and the installation working correctly I should be all set.

I still haven't solved the problem of crash on login of the launcher, going to try installing from the 20GB file they had on the site for people with the "Download Error - Checksum / Unknown File" issue. Need to wait until after school though, I shouldn't be messing with games while sitting at my desk here ^^;

For chaining skills, is there any difference loading the combos in the chain skill screen, or can I just manually do it while fighting? E.g., as a slayer, if I want to combo headlong rush > knockdown strike, can't I just perform the skills manually without the aid of the on screen prompt?

You can and if there's any specific benefits to the chain they will still apply wether you use the skill chain key (space by default) or the key you have bound to the relevant skill.

Yeah, I was messing around with it, didn't become apparant until I hit lvl 16 and got overhand strike. Was pretty slow up to this point. Game just got a whole lot more fun.

The preorder items are decent , mainly the CE version, where you get a powerful necklace around like lv 40 range.
Although, unsure if you can "gem" that necklace... as it seems apparently you can some high lvl ones that... may endup better then the CE one, it will still last people a decent while.

The standard edition is ok, but not really anything super amazing as the CE edition, where you'd replace whet you get within a few levels.

Like the lv 11 gold earrings, I replaced already at lv 20, already almost lv 31... so O_o The usage f the higher lvl rings will most likely last only a few hours also

Restart your launcher if you've been logged on before 3pm est.

Was gonna try it out this weekend to see if I want to buy it, but the server my friends are on is Full. Anyone know if they'll allow more characters to be created eventually, or am I out of luck?

Seems to not be platform dependent. I have a geforce 460 and get them in some places (shiny white dots, very annoying).
