best way i found to deal with the hydra enrage in CR is to just sleep or stun it when u see it talking about being tired. worked all the time, except that one time when it resisted.

was infamy debuffs on during headstart? will they be on after release?

Totaly late to the party for this one and I'm sure no one cares since cap has been lifted, but when you see it rage just walk away and wait. It will eventualy talk, do it's move and done. It's what I do as warrior here anyway.

This specific boss is in fact very warrior friendly, it's very predictable and has very slow frontal attacks that allow you to regain your cooldowns to be ready for the next volley.

As for infamy talk, I'm pretty sure they never stated they would add them at all. Thankfuly they aren't; having people in pvp mode for 10 days straight is a good enough penalty, making it very fun.

In Velika there's a building with vendors that sell items depending on the what type of token you possess.

Usually you won't use them on your main character, but they are amazing for buying items for alts.

So those of you that ordered a CE, did you get it in the mail yet? I see they charged my CC on 4/25 (89.35) but I never got an e-mail that it had shipped or anything.

I have a 27" iMac i7. I originally tried running it in Parallels just because I didn't want to have to deal with the reboot thing, but that ended up being laggy.

Boot Camp is perfect though. It's no different than running it on a good PC at that point. Just make sure you install the 64 bit Windows.

Well I contacted them via chat (160 in queue, but I'm at work whatever, took like an hour) They were nice about it and did have a tracking number that indicated it was at the PO (which means I'd probably get it 6:30ish tonight) so he added a few days to my subscription.

Tried it on my current gen i5 MacBook air, and it runs decently on the lowest settings.

Enough to run some quests, so im.sure it will run fine on a actual imac or MBP

This isn't ffxi. I've yet to run into a fight that I couldn't see done with any combination of decent players with a tank, healer, and 3 DPS or something similar. Only level 48 though, so grain of salt.

So is it 5 lvls or 10 over the start of an instance that you lower the drop rates? I notice that the instance finder lets you queue up for CR even at 41, which I think wouldn't be allowed if you're going to fuck over your group on loot.

It's 5 levels.

Notice that CR monsters are lv38, so lv41 is still within the acceptable margin when it comes to loot.

Ofcourse, you can still get loot even if you outlevel the monsters, but the chances seem severely reduced. No idea if you can get gold loot over 5 levels though.

Dunno if this was answered or not, but regarding payment.

I did the Amazon trick to get into CBT for free and OBT (the order was cancelled etc), and obviously, now my account is inactive after the grace period. A help text comes up saying the subscription is needed and links me to buying subscription page. Now, my question is: do I need to buy the game or could I just pay monthly for it now? Alternatively, someone loan me $15 so I can try, lol.

That's about it for now

1) I love this game, I play it for the PvE elements, but I also play with friends so that's probably a factor.
2) You sorta missed the boat on this one, OB was a week or two ago, and EME gave buddy passes galore for the head start weekend which was last weekend too. Dunno when/if they'll have another free trial or anything.
3) I've never played AION, but the combat is a lot different than FFXI (which is true with many games). I loved the race selection in FFXI and I do here too. I also like the boss fights, the story (which atm I like to compare to the quality of FFXI's starter story w/ the Shadow Lord etc, but I haven't played much past the 3rd arc.) the game is just a lot of fun to play and its very graphically pleasing.
4) Tera is very casual friendly. Some would argue too much so, but to each his own.
