In the Habere area? Next to Snaggletooth?
Looking at a map (wasn't on earlier) it was east of Tria in the Timeless Woods in the Windwhistle Woods area.
I forget the name, but that sounds about right; there's a Lv52 white-skinned World Boss spider in that area, with a unique AoE poison move.
From Tera forums, news/announcements section:
Hello TERA fans,
Yesterday we had an hour of unscheduled maintenance to apply a hot fix that disabled an enchanting exploit. This exploit made it possible to use regular alkahest for +7 and higher enchants, and yesterday’s hot fix stopped the exploit immediately.
We’ve investigated the extent of the exploit and found that approximately 200 items were enchanted using this tactic. None of the items were enchanted beyond +9.
During today’s server restart, we applied rollback measures to undo the enchanting exploits.
For users who exploited this and still had the enchanted weapon in possession, we have rolled the item enchantment back to its original (pre-exploit) level. A small number of users who exploited the bug no longer possess the items. We are addressing those users on a case-by-case basis. Please note that the chance to successfully enchant an item beyond +6 has always remained the same, and the gold and items spent during these exploit attempts will not be reimbursed.
We take this matter very seriously and will continue to do so in the future. Thank you.
The LFG channel on my server, was full of much qq after that roll back, some people claimed their "legit enchanted" gear was also rolled back... hard to tell if true.
Either way... good thing I decided to offload all my weapons and other stuff I was storing for my future sorc/lancer... made alot of gold off the exploiters... thousand and thousands of gold... muhahaha NO REFUNDS! O_o
Just lucky they didn't get LM-17'd lol
my gloves that were +9 were rolled back to +8 :/ not happy at all
i had no idea you could enchant with whites, nor i am positive i did not accidentally do it as well
. sent a ticket and they are looking into it. this is what they said
Gettings from beyond the stratosphere,
Hello yaksha,
Right now we are currently looking through the event viewer to locate the event when you had +9 gloves
right now upon further investigation into your character it appears that you were caught in the crossfire when we were working to resolve the issue with people
taking advantage of an exploit within the game itself
As such i will be forwarding this issue along with your character and server name to our Higher level team so that they can restore that enchantment that was incorrectly removes from your gloves
what a fucking shitty time to finally get my gloves to +9 >< and here i thought i finally had some good luck after going 1/32 from +8 to +9 on my feet
Just hit Lv60 on my Slayer the other night.
I'm primarily interested in PvP, so my question is:
Is there a certain faction that I should be building rep with now for PvP gear, or is that going to be a whole separate thing when the new content is introduced?
It would have been the rep involved with Nexus rifts, but now I'm expecting them to end up implemented at the same time as battlegrounds.
A friend and I were interested in trying this game and I was wondering if someone could give me a brief summary on balance between the classes. Are they all relatively equal in their role?
And how is the game doing? Is it dying or still growing or somewhere in-between?
And perhaps most important of all, do you still enjoy the game? Is there anything really terrible about it that I should know?![]()
Balanced, through more than just numbers.
Amazon sold a lot a few days ago and probably will again tomorrow with their sale. There are far more new low level players (not alts) running instances than I expected. Perhaps many waited until reviews came in.
I enjoy the game, yet will be really enjoying it once its finally finished this summer. We'll just all have multiple classes to enjoy it with.
I've heard of groups booting Berserkers and Archers for just being those classes, but I think the rest of the DPS roles are all pretty well off and desirable for one reason or another (one will always be better than another though and that has been argued in some places here already). Healers are both good for different reasons.
Population is tough to say, seems decent on the server I play on. I think it can grow more once they add real PVP and more content though.
I enjoy the game greatly, but it does have its share of flaws ("story", questing, and possibly endgame depending on how much you enjoy repeating content). The gameplay alone is enough to keep me interested for a decent amount of time though.
The gameplay is fresh and exciting, but the rest of the game is somewhat typical. The most fun you'll have is in a group fighting BAMs or doing dungeons, the least fun (at least for me on Lancer) is questing and shit to get to those points.
What level was it that you hit a 'wall' and it becomes hell for lvling for a couple levels?
I hit 54 on my Mystic and I'm kinda already feeling the pressure with the majority of mobs being 2 levels above me, which, being a Mystic, take fucking forever to kill solo.
Mobs around 55-56 pretty much double/triple in HP/damage, that's probably what you're feeling. It gets a bit better when you get up to 57-58.
The wall actually seems to slope back down around high 58/59. The mobs all of a sudden had next to no hp in Val Tirkai and such.
54-56 is the wall. If you can't find anyone, you can also do some repeatable quests to get you over the hump.
Since I'm behind most of the LS already, I might just let my rested bonus climb a little for a few days, and then tackle it with 100% bonus.
Random folks just don't want to group up for normal quests period.
