I was under the impression making a guild required three actual folks online. If not, that'll work grand then as I'm a pack-rat and been storing up any golds I've come across for all classes in the offchance I level one of them eventually.

Is there anything in TERA yet that'd warrant a guild event btw? It seems with GvG being a pissing contest, and Nexus being a performance clusterfuck, that there's not really anything that'd require a guild other than having folks you know that you could assume had decent gear so you can buddy up and do instance farming with.

Making a guild requires two online people.

How does leveling crafting work from lv250 to 410? From 1 to 250, I bought the vendor recipes that allowed me to synth each item 25 times which gave me 50 levels per recipe until I had to craft the next 'tier' item for level gains. Is it the same way for 250 to 410 where I will always get skill ups for 50 levels above the recipe level? Or do recipes only give skill ups for a certain amount of levels?

Plus, any other helpful tips for crafting above 250 would be greatly appreciated!

Been working at focuscrafting, so i can only speak for that craft. Recipe's 250+ only give 10 skill levels before you need to do a higher level recipe. (welcome to archrune hell). I believe all the main craftfs are set up the same, but i could be wrong. For focuscrafting this means at 250 i make white level 50 wepons, 260 makes greens, 270 makes blues, and 280 makes golds, all level 50. They are awesome looking templates, but sans the golds, are kinda worthless. the 290 recipes start in on Keyrunes which are WAY more available.

By far the hardest part in crafting is getting past the archrune stages.

Looking at starting up a healer, given most of my time will be spent in pug's which is the better option, mystic or priest?

Priest is definitely a better healer for people that don't really know what they're doing/don't care, Mystic is great for groups who don't need that much healing and/or have their shit together and don't take damage from everything that happens. That being said, you'll still be kicked from pugs more often on Priest than Mystic. Both are fun to play and both are great in their own ways.

Priest, because the more balls you drop on Mystic, the less they'll be picked up. You're gonna have to shove your healing down a PUG's throat. Also, Priest solo is fun; Mystic solo is godawful.

Mystics definitely need some more damage moves or their damage moves buffed because soloing on them is just so terrible lol. The orbs really need to be launched 10m in front of them too, dropping them in melee range is just asking to be killed instantly on certain bosses.

Personally, I'm doing Priest first and when I'm more comfortable healing, I may level a Mystic later on.

I agree i did mystic and my brother did priest and by far priest is the more pug friendly healer.

I think Priest is the stronger healer. Mystic relies on the orbs a lot and don't have many recovery abilities. Whereas if your tank randomly spikes and is about to die in one hit a Priest (at 60) can take them from near death to full health ina blink of an eye if your on top of your game

As a fresh 60 Mystic last night I healed my first FoK and BT. My impressions of the class at end game were that it was easily enough to heal through most encounters, others will require more effort on the DPS's behalf. I do believe priests to be more pug friendly but I like that when its all said and done I offer more utility and my survivability is higher than that of a priests.

    Pretty much everything been covered,

Just wanted to say I have BOTH 60 Mystic & 60 Priest on NA servers. I've done Fane/Baulders and HM's on each they respectively both have their strengths and weaknesses which I find really comes down to two main factors:

    1) Your party's experience (example: do you know them are they good players, do they understand mechanics etc)
    2) Fight / BAM mechanics (certain move sets I find Priest more valuable while others I find mystic of more value)
Finally a 3rd smaller factor being your own competency as playing a healing class. Both classes require skill.

The biggest differences / wants when on the class:

    When I'm on Mystic:
-I miss the 15min priest strength buff (mystic does have titanic wrath but its a MP guzzler + 35seconds and situations are not always in your favor to run in behind a BAM to buff your DPS and or ranged class).
-I miss my 100% stamina res.
-I miss not being able to give attack speed + to my pt members
-I miss a 3second self heal opposed to mystics 28 second self heal (balls put aside)

    When I'm on Priest:
-I HATE not having stun, and feel like my only purpose is to sit around and wait for people to get hit with no aid to the CC of the fight.
-I have the ability to give MP via glyph but its not nearly as much as mystics balls + MP aura.
-I do not like that I cannot give out res to someone.

Overall both can heal in dungeons easy & hard modes. If I had to summarize:

-Priest has the safety net of healing their party members when they make mistakes where a mystic takes away that healing safety net to give extra dmg through crit aura + MP regeneration.

I've played with the same group on both priest and mystic and damage wise theres a noticeable difference with a mystic in kill speed just from MP regeneration alone. But to do this successfully your group needs to be confident and not continuously need on spot heals so your mystic can give them the strength buff and MP balls they need.

**Not every fight is suitable for mysic play either. Certain fights I simply prefer priest over mystic or vice versa this is mainly due to move sets or the mechanic of the fight. I have to run the dungeon on one character at a time I don't get that luxury to switch out per choice of fights.

-When learning content I'm fairly sure I will play on my priest much more because of the ability for my party members to make more mistakes and as long as I'm not getting 1shot I have a much higher survivability on priest. But as others learn fights & mechanics I'll switch over to mystic in the end for the MP, aura's, and crowd control abilities.

Ultimately play what you think you want to play since both can do their job if you play your job correctly.

According to the patch notes only Common, Uncommon, and Rare will drop from BAMs in the 60 zones and as far as I can tell Fanesteel is a Superior class crafting mat.

I'm pretty sure it meant common, uncommon, and rare T13 gear; as there is no such thing as "rare" crafting materials outside of Beast Hearts, and those are only used to enhance T12 gear, not T13.

Anyone having connection issues now? After it updated when it launched the game my kaspersky av jumped up and asked if it should trust it or restrict dangerous stuff and like everything else I chose restrict, but now when the game loads it says it can't connect to any server.

edit: Well changing from high restricted to low restricted seemed to fix it.

Is there a template that looks like the nexus gear? I swear I saw someone with nexus-esque gear, but it was on an Amani. (Plate)

From my understanding there is not unless the T13 crafted is the same as Nexus, however I do not believe this is the case. There are a few different templates that are not available to use currently and I think Nexus and ET / LoT sets are the missing ones right now.
