    I think it depends on the type of shitty lancer. I've seen lancers who can't block for shit and ones that just hold block 24/7. For the 24/7 blockers yeah MP aura would help, but for the ones who can't block are probably going to get hit by crits more often. Depends on which flavor of shitty we're talking about lol.

    Was LoT's iLvl too high for anyone else when they first hit the appropriate level (58.) to run it? I did it a few days ago with some BG folks, but I had to throw gold at the broker for some lvl58 jewellry and upgrade a weapon to +6 just to meet the bare minimum to queue up.

    Just curious if it was just me, possibly my class (Mystic), or if it was intentionally designed to need the ilvl up there?

    I never had an item level problem with Labyrinth of Terror on my Warrior or Lancer; were you keeping your earrings and rings up to date and using armor from the correct tier for that level (usually 11)?

    Majority of it was t11, a couple t10s that were still relevant. Was a mix of stuff I got from mob drops, SSG, and welfare gear from story quests. I was 114, needed 124 iirc for LoT.

    Happened on my last two characters I leveled (Sorc and Archer), can't recall if it happened on my other characters (Lancer and Priest) but when we followed the quest lines leading up to it (all the yellows+reds) we needed to visit the AH to get appropriate gear level. We didn't do much instancing before that, pretty much just pure quest grinding unless a red quest led us into the instance

    Alright, is there a way to filter out emotes messages from logs? Every time someone crafts something they cheer and it floods the log.

    At low levels, crystals aren't a big deal, just stick with MP regen and HP regen. You can buy these off almost any crystal vendor. By 25 or so you should have enough money to get some nice damage ones.

    As a Berserker, you're going to want a critical hit build for BAMs. Ideally speaking, you'd want Acrimonious (Boss crit+ from behind), Focused (Crit+ when enraged), and Savage (Crit+ from behind). The fourth crystal is up to you. A lot of people go with mutinous (Flat damage+ bonus against boss), but carving (crit rate+ ) is also good. Infused charms are better than the glistening crystals for zerker, and forceful crystals aren't that great. When soloing, the brutal crystal is nice, but zerkers solo very easily anyway.\

    For archer? Don't know. Never played it.

    Necromancer's Tomb. If you're really desperate, Sigil Adstringo and skip bosses. Alternative is to grind gold and just buy them.

    Couple Qs.

    1) Something I asked in guild yesterday, but wanted more insight on: High-level Mystic - MP Regen Aura or +CritDefense? I've been using CritDefense mostly because I keep getting queue'd into the worst fucking lancers and DPS(who don't dodge) ever.

    2) How is Slayer's solo pontential? Been levelling my alt from time to time, doesn't appear to have many mid-battle healing options other than that one glyph that I can't recall the name for.

    For Aura I love MP regen has a dps, even with the Mana Regen on Crit from behind crystal I still need to swap in combo attacks here and there with a priest, with a mystic I can just go all out and never have to worry about going under 80% mp.

    Slayer solo potential is hilarious. That glyph is great because everything chains into overhand strike (the move that gives you the heal from the glyph) and overhand strike resets 80% of the time, so you can literally just spam it (with a move before to chain into it) and heal up.

    Slayer bit sounds good. No way in hell I'm soloing instances on Mystic with their laughably bad damage output.

    I finally hit 60 on my Warrior, been playing pretty casually, and was wondering about neck options. I've been using the CE attack speed neck until now, but the attack on it is getting really low vs. neckpieces my level. I hung onto it because of the attack speed, but now there is one available with 3% attack speed. I was wondering if this would be a worthwhile upgrade? The like 230 more attack it has is really tempting, and I'm wondering how much I'd really notice 3%. Most of my other gear is pretty walmart, non-enigmatic T12 sword with 8% attack speed, +4.5% damage to bosses, and +6% damage to enraged. Sorry if this has been asked before!

    Also, one more question. What bonuses should I be looking to get on my enigmatic hands/feet? Right now the hands have +2 crit every step to +9 where it's +1 power. Feet have 30% less chance to be stunned under bosses feet. Should I go for a second of this for my +9 bonus like I see a lot of people doing? Both pieces are at +6 and I probably won't be +9ing them for a little bit until I can get ahold of some swords and a body (I don't really have a super active guild so it's faster for me to just save money and buy what I need rather than rely on the endless queues in lfd).

    Thanks for any tips!

    Yes, get that Practicum neck; drop from ToT.

    Stick with the stats on the hands. Theory is power pulls ahead once you have high end gear/mystic/buffs.

    Im not sure how effective the combat stats on the feet actually are. I'm running +speed atm.

    Slayer solo potential is actually excellent from what I've been told. Meresgi pretty much explained it.

    #1 you pretty much asked a page ago. At least in my opinion, there really is no reason for you to ever have +CritDefense aura up in a party as opposed to +MPRegen aura. You need to think about everything MP does. It's excellent defensively for any class as well as offensively. You are really limiting your group if you don't have it up at all times. The better your DPS do the less overall damage they will take. As far as a lancer goes, blocking is the EASIEST thing they have to do. It is WAY more likely they are suffering from MP problems that prevent them from blocking than them just sucking at timing it. And if it's the latter, then critdef aura won't save them honestly. I'd prefer for the enemy/enemies to go down quicker so that there is less of a chance of anyone dying. Most of my deaths on lancer have resulted from not having enough MP to block. +MP and +CritRate auras, along with blue balls, are the reason mystics were preferred in PvE over priests.

    I should also mention that at 60 there are a lot of times where you will come across 'dps races'. The MP aura will help your DPS win those, and I'd imagine you'll get yelled at if you don't use it.

    Is there a setting where, if you have a menu or inventory open, hitting any of the WASD keys will auto-close the window? Tera seems to store settings server-side, but my new computer keeps auto-closing the windows when I hit WASD whereas my old one didn't.

    I don't think I've ever had a Lancer in a PUG that wasn't always full mana though. Thanks for going indepth though. I'm still learning how other jobs are played. Bit more to it in TERA than most other MMOs where you're either a battery, a healer, a tank, or a braindead DPS.

    Was there an option to stop that? Anything interface related always closed on me the second I hit a movement key.



    At any rate, it's been over a month now. Is there a general wiki up yet?? I'm trying to gather all the info I need pertaining how I should be gearing up at 60. Most I know is grinding the two lvl60 instances (one for enig weapon, one for enig armor afaik, can't recall names. Fane & BT?) repeatedly for the drops and for enchant bait. Anything more to it than that?

    As Seni already said, Practicum neck is your best bet until you can find something randomly with more attack speed.

    Feet really do not have many combat bonuses worth a damn. Any "stat guide" I can find from KTera basically says Endurancex2 is the best thing. I am not sure the 3% Movement speed is all that important 90% of the time. I have seen a lot more people taking the 30% Balance increase while under boss feet these days though. Simply for Velika dailies and farming purposes since fucking level 15 Bams will knock you on your ass for no apparent reason on a regular basis.
